I've always posted video content on the 'What are you playing ...' thread but more than happy to post here if more convenient.

I think it's a nice idea to gather favourite YouTube classical vids together, especially given the success John is having playing them with Bluetooth.
It's a bit cumbersome for me to do it from my phone but I'll start posting some favs when I get my laptop powered up later.

He looks like Jesus and he plays like an angel. Bach's supreme Goldberg Variations.

For me, the ultimate solo cello recital. Words fail me. Superb sound, too. And wonderful visuals.
Bach's 2nd cello suite played by English cellist Pincombe.

The sheer joy of a challenge faced and overcome. Mozart's delightfully melodic oboe quartet.

He looks like Jesus and he plays like an angel. Bach's supreme Goldberg Variations. I listened to it when it first came out and his playing left me a bit cold, so will have to revisit sometime ...

The wonderful soprano, Lucia Popp, gave this recital of Richard Strauss' 4 Last Songs - heart breakingly poignant as she was dying from brain cancer at the time. It comes in 4 consecutive parts which should just play on from each other.

This is the ultimate performance of Liszt's piano sonata for me, Valentina Lisitsa (no relation!)

The Lara Melder performance is very special indeed.
I would love to know why she has seemingly been very quiet in terms of profile since that win.

Philip Glass - one of the "famous bits" from his opera Akhnaten, although all of it is excellent - the window of appearances.

A superb Beethoven violin concerto with Soyoung Yoon, and conducted by Penderecki! - it looks like she can hardly believe the beautiful sounds are coming out of her violin! The concerto starts at 20 minutes in.
