This is beautifully played I think if I heard this a year ago I probably not of been able to listen all the way through at times very dark in tone and sad to listen too.

That's a superb performance of Shostakovich VC1, John - the 3rd movement has a sadness too deep for words.

5 cellists from the Vienna Phil.
Just fantastic wit and invention.

I watched that just a couple of days ago. Brilliant response and rapport with the audience.

This new film of The Rite of Spring is very nicely put together.
I bet it sounds great for those who can enjoy it over their systems.

I love the Rite, spectacular and very cleverly composed music.
For me, it doesn't need the distracting visuals.

A promo for Augustin Hadelich's new Bach album.
Metronomic timing.

Kyung Wha Chung has such an idiosyncratic approach with this Bach - very muscular and powerful. I've always liked it. Exactly the same when I saw her play it in concert.

One for Mr jandl100 if he hasn't yet seen it.

I like her percussive playing, delineating each note precisely. I shall have a proper listen later.

You need to see her perform live Martin - I've had the pleasure twice now and would go to hear her play anything half interesting!

Power, grace, beauty.
Yuja is sublime in this Rach from her Berlin Recital.

OMG - check out this stunning Lark from Emma McGrath, concertmaster of the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra. Goosebumps - it is a crime that it hasn’t been released commercially!! A worthwhile interview at the start of the video. Will be getting repeat viewing from me, sublime it is ...
