Wonderful - her hands just dance over the keys. How nice to have a young family protege, too.

Lisa B is most persuasive in this Saint-Saens 3 - a wonderfully sinuous and brooding tone in the 1st mov whilst in the 2nd she is so elegant and understated. The musical themes of the 3rd aren't quite so idiosyncratic and it does meander a bit but still most enjoyable. Maybe one for John? What a shame to have that wonderful hall so empty!

Loved the first movement the second movement I enjoyed and 3rd movement not as much. What followed after was a real snooze festival for me I actually feel asleep listening to it

Excellent, so we both had the same experience with the VC. I didn't actually watch the rest of the concert but glad you had a good nap!

Some lovely Bach to relax with, in a very beautiful Baroque setting.

Wonderful. I like the two frets on the body of the instrument.

Found two gems, well, for me:
Here's the stereo version from '58. Prefer the first:
Some will say Calas is preferable, but this gets my vote.

The illustrious Ms Benedetti is the star of this commercial for Macallan whisky and has written a suitably atmospheric and pastoral score for the film.
The imagery is cliche ridden but the music has a nice Scottish RVW vibe to it.
See what you think.

That's almost a drone going through the piece.
Very nicely done.

A marvellous performance of Franck's violin sonata by Wildschut and Brauss, two very talented young ladies.

Delicacy, depth and power - it really has it all.
A most soulful performance, wonderful.
Thanks for sharing J.
