The arm is grounded via the interconnect. The pitch control is an additional earth and is causing an earth-loop.

The Jelco is better without the grounding on the pitch control. That how I shipped them when I was using that arm and also SME.

1. Why is the PC on when you are using the turntable ? 2. Your point 2 is how they are made. Is yours modified in any way ?
3. If it has been modified and or new cable, how was it before ?

. We all said that about 4K nearly 5 years ago ! Now I'm here with a 75" Sony and Panasonic UHD DMP-UB900. What gets me a lot, is the HDR aspect, who would have thought it ? It may be that 8K on an 85" is better ? I'll wait and see what pans out over the next 5+ years, I'll not hold my breath though.

I was remembering big Japanese VU meters of old, like the Hitachi ones. They weren't very log or very responsive and you had to crank the output considerably to see them do anything. Largely useless, I'd say. Well, I also have a Technics SH-920 that has a 60dB dynamic range with average, peak and also peak-hold. The Luxman 60dB but at a push 70dB with less accuracy.
The Tulip we are talking about here, has a 40+dB range. VU meters of old were usual just 20dB as you say.

Bet the meters hardly move in normal use. If they are like the Luxman I have, they are log meters with a 60dB range. So always show moment and really quite useful.

The SGS blurb suggests connecting the grounding box to the neg posts on speakers. Have you tried that? A balanced or bridged amplifier will cause all sorts of problems. A Class D is likely to re-inject switching hash into the system. And some systems might go ultrasonically unstable destroying tweeters.
Although I struggle to see how these work generally, but I have heard good reports of the CAD units.

I've never seen a 101 in that wooden housing before. Certainly makes it look nicer. I found its sound to be rather hard, though. It wasn't good, but there was no choice then, it was the CDP-101 or nothing.
I was a senior design engineer at Philips Cambridge at the time, and about a year later the staff shop had better and way cheaper players. I should have kept the Sony for nostalgic sake though !
I do have an immaculate and perfect with remote control, Technics SL-P1200, it looks cool.............. Not in use or on show as it lacks the micro-detail of the Marantz SA-11S3.

Agreed, sort of. The sort of analogue compression they use when mastering CD's can be overall and quite large. I did some research on Rubber Soul and although as you say they would have used individual compressors, clearly the original tapes were a lot less compressed than the actual releases. I have multiple versions including the 3.75ips tape version once available over the counter in Boots, they are all very different.
Abbey road have said recently remastering was compressed on CD but not as much on vinyl !
Go figure as they say somewhere....................

But how were they remastered ? Is there a difference between the CD and vinyl ? Was any analogue compression used ? Any tilting on EQ's ?

Really ? The cartridge will be at the wrong angle if the stylus is anything apart from conical ?
Maybe I'm wrong, but this looks like it's straight out of Hanpin's DJ parts bin.

L150's with Focal Utopia Beryllium tweeters here Do they suffer from the roll surround rot that my old L-100T speakers had? I used a 12" driver repair kit quite successfully on them. The do and all 12" drivers were repaired !

JBL here too, studios use them for a good reason. L150's with Focal Utopia Beryllium tweeters here, reworked crossovers and bi-wired. So cheap used, I have a second pair in the background.
