I have always felt I was a second class member on this forum because, I am ashamed to admit, I used powerline adapters to my hi fi. I read the throttle choke tread sadly thinking it was another inexpensive improvement I couldn't attempt because there was no way to get a cable to the equipment across a solid floor. It was only reading Eric's 40 plus pages that I realized I could install a cheap little travel router and version 1 of the fabled throttle cable. The improvement in clarity and soundstage is astounding. Thanks to all involved. Is there significant improvements to be had with the other versions or should I try something new like directly attached copper cables? I suggest to also put together the V3 "Black Mamba" and report back when done. (note that you should ideally use the more expensive ferrit parts that they link to) I am confident that you will not regret that extra money and time spent! It is by no means a small upgrade from the V1, in my opinion. |
