Ring on doorbell yesterday
Saw the driver from the kitchen window so gave him the thumbs up
He gestured me over to him Pain
Told me that Evri fine him if he doesn't show a pic with the item in the punter's hands
Bigger pain with the amount of deliveries madam has

Royal Mail: "Your parcel from P2u is due for delivery: Today, Sunday, 17 March 2024 Delivery is estimated by: 7:30pm* We won't need a signature."
I went to their site yesterday and gave them the safe place details.
Today... "Sorry, there didn’t seem to be anyone in. We’ll automatically reattempt delivery of your parcel the next working day unless you’ve already made an alternate delivery request."
Yes, I had made alternative arrangements, you morons!!!
I have made 'alternative arragements' again, this time adding "exactly as I told you last time" to the instructions.
I wonder what will happen tomorrow?

I assume you paid extra for that, or are we all using the wrong couriers?

Parcelfarce have attempted to deliver my laptop this morning when I'm out for a coffee and it was due for delivery on Monday.
Grrr, now I've got to mess around with their collection process. Again.
EDIT: and as before, they left no card, making it doubly difficult to arrange collection or redelivery.
When deciding who are the worst courier companies of all, there is such a wealth of contenders.

So much seems to be due to the person delivering no matter what company
We also see the same person delivering for different companies

I just despise Evri.
I ordered something which has apparently just been sitting in one of their lockers for four days. Excellent service.

I have to say that recently, perhaps the last year or so, Evri have a virtually spotless record here. I like the idea of having the same driver every time, Graham, and actual 2-hour deliver slots that they stick to. Having said that, I was told that yesterday's delivery was via Graham, but the rather lovely young lady who originally showed Graham around, the one with the long hair, Mediterranean looks, and the spray-painted leggings turned up instead. I shall not be complaining.

I'm delighted for you guys but a good courier should offer consistently excellent service across the country, not consistently amazing in some areas and consistently $hite in others.

Did you invite her in for a coffee? I thought the 45 or 50 year age-gap might be a bit off-putting, that and the fact that contrary to rumours, I'm not actually a perv. Now, if she'd brought her mum with her...

This is how good our local Evri "service" is.
My parcel was delivered today whilst I was out and was "left securely in shed".
Only one problem - we don't have a shed. There is a photograph on their website of my parcel sitting not very securely by an external wall, somewhere ...

Good luck. Despite disliking Evri intensely, I found their complaints handling on the phone a lot better.

I think Evri may be a work in progress and if they complete will become a good company, good enough at least

Is anyone in the Bristol area expecting a parcel, or is anyone expecting a parcel from Bristol? Huge fire breaks out at Evri warehouse in BristolA huge fire has broken out at a warehouse in Bristol. The Avon Fire and Rescue Service said 16 fire engines were at the scene in Avonmouth just after 2.30 pm, going down to eight an hour later. They advised people who live and work in the area around St Andrews Road to keep windows and doors shut as they tackle the blaze. People also posted images of clouds of thick black smoke that could be seen for miles around the area, including the M5 and Blaise Castle. Parcel delivery company Evri confirmed that the fire broke out at its depot, saying all colleagues are safe and the fire has now been put out. " Our main priority has been to ensure that all colleagues are safe, the cause of the fire will be fully investigated in due course," Evri said in a statement. " There were very few parcels at the site at the time with the vast majority of outbound deliveries having left the building. " We have quickly made plans for alternative arrangements to minimise disruption to deliveries taking place over the next few days." Police were also in attendance to provide traffic management.
