Come on then you bunch of moaning buggers. I've given you a whole thread to vent your spleen instead of jumping in and out of other non-related threads. Go for it., but keep the language down.

ParcelFarce. Says it all. Yip they're crap here too, I have a parcel arriving via them and it's been sitting at the depot since the 15th !!!! No explanation from the head office except to say they'll give them a nudge 🤔 Ok you can pick fault with drivers of any company but most are pretty good here. However Parcelfarce are consistently terrible round here. 24 hour delivery, so that's 2 days then. Not delivered by 16:30 then forget it, I'm last area on their way back to the depot so if they need to be back by 17:00 I've no chance. Grim in the extreme.

Within the UK, UPS have been both the best and the worst. I lived near Newcastle Airport and enjoyed a great service. Probably over 100 items bought and received without issue. I moved just a few miles to the coast and all hell broke loose. At their worst they managed to damage 7 consecutive items, all in their manufacturers shipping cartons and most with an extra box and packing over that to try and offset their idiocy.
Every single one was insured and they ended up paying thousands back to me in compensation. My Audion alone cost around £400 to fix. Some of the cartons were caved in where they had been kicked. It was plain as day. I moved away soon after.
Overseas has always been good. I use FedEx and TNT.
All ll my couriers were booked via Interparcel, who are excellent. They handled every claim professionally and always paid out within 28 days.

On a related note, I also had a number of suitcases shipped door to door from Mewcastle to my home in Cyprus. I used this company. www.luggageforward.comPrices for large suitcases up to 22 kilos in weight were a very keen £60 each. Npthimg was damaged or stolen and the cases weren't really packed very carefully, so I was very impressed.

I've heard other recommendations for Interparcel. We use Parcel2Go at work with a good success rate.

UPS is the *only* courier in my area that doesn't drive me up the wall with persistent incompetence.
Thanks to Yodel I'm probably going to have to sit at home tomorrow when I would prefer to be out and about with my family.
When booking my own couriers I always use Interparcel - they give very good discounted prices on a number of couriers.

Another good thing about DPD is you can have your parcel diverted & delivered to a pick up point Matalan, PC World etc..which is great

UPS via Interparcel gets my vote too. Bonus is that the UPS drop off point is a short walk from me, so as long as the parcel is not too heavy, beig able to take it there makes it even cheaper. Plus their drivers are nice cheerful chaps too

Yodel. Wow. I waited to be connected to the webchat service for approx 1 hour 30 mins. After being connected they repeated what I have been reading all day on the tracking. So, as I can actually read I then asked them whether my parcel will be delivered tomorrow or not ... The reply was - < Well, the depot will schedule the delivery from their end. The tracking on the website is generated by the depot and am unable to say to you that it'll be delivered tomorrow, but what I can advise is to keep track of the parcel online. > So basically don't try calling them, don't try the webchat, as all the people there know sweet FA. Complete and utter bellended fuckwits.

Not had problems with UPS, pallet shift, DPD or parcel force. Packing is the key.
I have had problems with customs, who completely destroyed an item and tried to blame it on the carrier! The carrier proved it wasn't them. How to get redress against a gov. body though.

NVA recommended UPS via Interparcel and I've used them regularly ever since - they have a convenient collection and pick-up point too - except on one disastrous occasion when I used Parcelforce 24 hour to send an amp to a friend. On delivery, this rough chap turns up in a filthy (apparently) van, is throwing boxes around inside it to find the right one and the thing was delivered with a chunk out of the outer box and the transformer in full flight inside. Never again...

I think all have good days and bad days. Ups have been shocking here in France. Collisimo (our parcelforce) have been pretty good. I had good experiences with parcelforce in the UK.
In a league of their own for dreadful was My Herpes

I think we have had problems with just about every one of them. I've been battling with Fedex for the last week and a half, agreeing alternative delivery dates several times, which they have repeatedly ignored and re-attempted delivery the very next day. Tossers.

Well with toughened glass the weakest point is the corner. Very very hard to smash a piece from the centre

The absolute worst ever was City Link, but luckily they got what they deserved: they went bust.

Yodel are by some way the worst now in my book.
I asked them why my delivery wasn't arriving a day late yesterday and they said they are 'not able to deliver today as routes and drivers are already scheduled.'
Well that's fine then.
And when I asked when they can deliver, there was no response.
Merry Christmas Yodel - bag of shite.

I think there a problem lies with middle man companies that use these well known couriers instead of booking them direct. They will not be the same quality of service.
