The gardening I really hate is watering when the boss goes away
Leaf raking is working my puny body into a slightly less puny body

It started again yesterday. An hours' blowing and shovelling dealt with it. That was nothing compared with what is to come.

I had to start on raking the chestnuts Digby the Dachshund specialises in getting them caught up in himself Doesn't do him any good and very awkward and sometimes painful to get out
One patch now has leaves to rake. Quite a few more to come bet

Countless bulk bags of leaves raked and dragged up onto the compost heap. I may be over half way
Slightly worrying to see some trees still with leaves on. Don't remember them being up there into January before I can cope with them if they fall. Just hoping the tree didn't die due to the hot summer....

We were just saying we'll have to do some more leaf clearing soon. It's been blown into little piles all over the place, saving us the blowing part of the operation, but everything is still very wet and soggy, making it doubly hard to shovel.

I'm at it every day for short periods of time I use 2 plastic garden rakes to pick up clumps of leaves Today was less successful due to the recent rain. Had to make do with half a clump

There seems to be more leaves, nuts and shells than ever before, a complete carpet risking ankles just walking on it. Last weekend hurt and today I feel physically unwell from two and a half hours' effort. And we know it'll be the same again next weekend.

Same. Tomorrow almost directly after work it's off to parents house to rake in the dark as usual. And will be this way for weeks.
I swear I never see any other neighbors raking or even yards with leaves fallen on them.

I hear leaf blowers almost constantly from the neighbours on and on and on

Once again with the leaves today. We only did the drive and filled 22 wheelbarrow loads, dumping them across the lane into the forest.
Why did we have to have such big trees?

Get a Hippo sack to put in the wheelbarrow or I'm thinking of a wheelbarrow extender Thought long enough. On the way

Wheelbarrow extender used today. Much easier to load leaves, keep compressing until as full as possible, not as much as a Hippo bag Unloading not as easy as the Hippo but I will work on my technique
£8 odd is a great buy
