The good thing about music on the tv is that you don't know what'll come up next - instead of you tube whereby you're searching for stuff. Makes tv a wee bit better for finding new stuff

Of all places Timpson do a deal on Tag/watch batteries when you pay £20 and they change the battery and reveal/pressure test for life when required. That's what I do with mine. Never had it serviced as it's never needed it.
Now,Rolex as an investment - yes, imo. Buy a Submariner tomorrow for 5 grand wear it for ten years then sell it for 5 grand. Just replacing it will be tricky of course....

it's been Breitling all the way for me, but even I have to admit it's a mug's game. Since the 2010 range, even they have gone down-market. Rolex have used Seiko movements for Donkeys years, which put me off them. I thought Rolex were in house movements?

MartinT - it's really only the stainless steel ones I like - the submariner, explorer 2 and the air king. The rest, yeah too blingy. And the timekeeping not great but has improved recently I believe. Mr Whippy - even though I do like them I just don't think I could part with £5000 for one : now,the watch you posted is a bit steampunk for my liking but not to go with the flow I'd go for a Sinn 556 or EZM2. Excellent watches. @spica - it was an Old Navitimer and a Rolex that first got me into watches! I'd still like an old Navitimer and I did have a toptime for a while but the current Breitlngs don't really get me moist at all. Shame that! @zippy - I've also had Omega,Breitling and now a Tag(which I've had for years and wear every day). I've also got two Tudors. I like the Tag best. It just keeps working! A lot of the Citizen watches are excellent,I like them as well.

I have what I have as I've always had a hankering for valves and the AVC offered excellent vfm. Getting it modded by Eduardo was also essential to me - I wanted the individuality of that. I've always had a thing for Audio Note and when the ANKs came up I couldn't resist them. The Acoustic Research came up for sale whilst the make was being discussed here so that's how I ended up with that and I'd always wanted to try some horn speakers so when a decent set appeared I put in an offer that was accepted and haven't looked back. They're very good.
To summarise I kind of wanted to stop having lots of mid range kit and what I have now is my forever kit. There's not much going anywhere!
As for the sound I want - accuracy is important to me as is speed and I seem to have that. I like things to sound just as they should and I enjoy the perfection of music.

Huge big thing that - stealing music from streaming services. Massive problem.

I like GaGa. Changed my opinion after I saw her playing the piano live on something or other. Very talented.
