Vintage TV (thanks Chris B) now has me watching many programmes. The odd ones showing videos I've mostly never seen. The series : Needle Time, just watched Tom Robinson, recently watched Bachman of BTO, Jeff Lynne and others Live with.... Great to see Sonny Landreth, Hue and Cry (don't know them) and Maxi Jazz queued up to watch My Vintage. People I know and some I don't playing their influences and favourites
Have a look at their schedule and find music you like

The good thing about music on the tv is that you don't know what'll come up next - instead of you tube whereby you're searching for stuff. Makes tv a wee bit better for finding new stuff

Remember to add 5 minutes if recording as BBC4
Latin Music follows so might as well record that too

Short notice, I know, but 21:00 tonight Reginald D Hunter's Song of the Border on BBC2 looks worth a look.
No Tom Russell, which surprises me, but it still looks like there'll be some good music and knowing Reg, plenty of humour.

I enjoyed it, but I'm a 'Reg' fan anyway. I'd say that the music content was a little more Mex than Tex overall.

Last night I spotted a channel on Freesat named Heyday TV. The reason I noticed it was a series of music programs in the middle of which was an hour-long show about Curved Air. Having duly recorded it and watched it this morning I can say it was a good decision. No complete songs, but loads of clips, mostly from Belgian telly in 1972, the quality of which was about what you'd expect from Belgian telly in 1972. It was great to see Sonja swanning around in her crushed velvet loons again, though and all of the major players, including her, were interviewed. It's probably not going to win any new fans, but if you like(d) Curved Air it was a good watch.
Just to confuse the issue 'Heyday TV' actually appears on the channel 'CLTV' from 21:00. Tonight's offerings are Fleetwood Mac, Guitar Wizards, A program about Floyd's "Meddle" album, and Queen.

I've just been told about this one - The Alan Hull Story, BBC4, 9pm, Friday Nov 26th If you were a Lindisfarne fan you won't want to miss it.
The one-off documentary, which was premiered with a special screening at the Tyneside Cinema last month, features appearances from big names like Sting, Elvis Costello, Mark Knopfler, Dave Stewart and Peter Gabriel
Speaking about the documentary, Alan's Lindisfarne bandmate Rod Clements said: "Alan’s recognition nationally as a unique and overlooked talent is long overdue.
"This documentary will rectify that, with affectingly humble and enthusiastic enquiring from Sam Fender, and ringing endorsements from Alan’s better-known contemporaries. I’m proud to have been part of this tribute to an underrated artist and friend."
