No, Tim, it's a streaming service.

I didn't know that, Martin. I knew you could download to a device for offline listening, but didn't realise you could then burn that information off onto a CD, surely that would infringe copyright?

Yes it would, and also you'd be converting an Ogg-Vorbis file to WAV for burning to CD and it will never sound better than using the stream.

Huge big thing that - stealing music from streaming services. Massive problem.

There are allegedly a number of ways to do this using a streaming audio recorder, or downloading for offline play then burning to a CD, although I have never tried any of them. It's copyright theft and no different to stealing music via a torrent and like Martin says, not necessary if you have a device which can play the music offline, as long as your account is current. However, if you have bought the music from Spotify then you could burn it to CD just like iTunes. Still 'technically' breaching copyright, but unlikely to cause you any problems and Spotify allow you to do it as I understand - but I am not sure how you purchase tracks anymore as the feature has either been removed or changed, as it used to be fairly obvious what to do if you wanted to buy the track? Cancel that, you can't as far as I can see purchase tracks from Spotify anymore, which is why it's no longer obvious! - community.spotify.com/t5/Newcomers-and-Contribution/How-to-buy-songs/m-p/251722#M2344

I would just stick to streaming. If you have a Spotify Premium account, that's all you need.
