I took a look at BBC "Red Button" News this morning and in the International section 2 of the first 7 (I think it was) slots were about Lemmy. Maybe it's a slow news day, maybe Lemmy meant a lot more to people than I for one realised. The "R.I.P. Lemmy" thread on the bass guitar forum I belong to is up to 13 pages so far and going strong.

Very true, all reasonably young in the scheme of things. Such a shame - always appears to happen this time of the year, guess it has something to do with the weather, although I am not sure how that impacts Cancer, but it must be something… Such a shame such talent is lost forever!

Scary how many people I didn't think of as "old" are passing. We are forever hearing of increased life expectancy and it's perhaps raising expectations too high. None of these people would've gotten close to state pension age, even before the increase and they may well have enjoyed better lifestyle opportunities and medical facilities than most of us.
Particularly sad to hear of Glen
Frey passing. I didn't know until I read it just now.
