We lost Allen Toussaint last night. Such a gent, such a gifted songwriter. I discovered him through other people's renditions of his work.

I've performed this tune many times, not as well as this this though. R.I.P. Allen.

RIP Andy White. Drummer on the Beatles Love Me Do. The common single version had Ringo relegated to Tambourine though Ringo version initially released.

He was a busy guy, wasn't he? And with big achievements outside of the audio world.

Heard on the news Steve Wright lead singer of The Easybeats has died at the age of 68.
Here they are with their classic. Always remember it being played on the radio at the time and how it stood-out for me:
Sounds quite decent here.

Harry Vander and George Young were in the easybeats. Later, after the band broke up they wrote songs in the UK for a while. When they arrived back in Oz they started producing albums. They produced the first albums from a small band called AC/DC. George's younger brothers were Malcolm and Angus.

Amazed he lived as long as he did in all honesty, but a sad loss of another icon.
