Gutted when I heard about film composer James Horner. Avid pilot, crashed his single engined plane, died aged 61. Grew up with his music as a kid have most of his stuff on vinyl.
Be spinning some tonight I think.

Val Doonican died today. I'm not sure he'll be greatly missed from a musical point of view by many of us on TAS, but I'm certain that he figures at least a little in a lot of our earlier lives.
I couldn't stand his music but I'll always think fondly of him as the guy who knocked Sgt Pepper off the number one spot with the best titled easy listening album of all time - 'Val Doonican Rocks.....But Gently'.

Cilla Black has died age 72 at her Spanish Villa. No details but police say natural causes. Didn't rate her singing but this is rather a shock as no news of any illness.

I just heard it on the news minutes before you posted. Certainly a surprise.

She seemed a nice punter to me.
I have a few of her singles.
Sounds too young to go

RIP Dr Wayne Dyer. My life's biggest inspiration. My wife said it best: A living Angel.

John Robinson, maybe not well known in the hifi industry but a decent chap none the less.
He worked for Black Rhodium cables and could always be seen with Graham Nalty at all the shows.
Spoke to him about 3 days before he died (don't know details and cannot contact his family)
He leaves a young daughter, he was 27

R.I.P. Sir David Willcocks, who has died aged 95. He was probably the most influential choirmaster of his generation, spending 17 years as director of music at King’s College, Cambridge, and 38 years in charge of the Bach Choir. Grauniad Obit

I'm absolutely gutted. One of my favourite guitarists...
Gary was a master of the Les Paul and hugely underrated. Early REO used to rock hard and he was the driving force behind that style. Wish I had seen them live in the '70's, they were a top act.
He really struggled with addiction and illness in later life but still wanted to play live. RIP.
