First Percy Sledge and now Ben E. King. That celestial choir is getting too damn greedy for talent lately.

B.B. King has gone. Never was his most famous song so apt.

Indeed - BB was the last of the 3 Kings to pass away.
I'm more stunned by this sad news than I was after the last general election! BB left a great legacy of music and was an enormous influence on fellow bluesmen and listeners alike. He and 'Lucile' will be greatly missed.
RIP BB 'The thrill realy has gone now'.

Very sad news, I always admired BB. King's guitar work and soulful blues… such a shame!

A name that won't mean much to those not of "a certain age" but I'm sad to report the passing of Lynn Ripley, a.k.a. Twinkle. Telegraph Obit

According to wikipedia her husband and milk tray actor was Graham Rogers, real name Graham Wilson.

Ferreting about, there have been a few that have done the ads. Gary Myer was the original and did most. Gary Rogers did one in 1992 (he was also in the Turkish Delight ad).
A bit late with this, but I was saddened to learn yesterday of the death of ITV newsreader Carol Barnes who died back in 2008 at the age of 62. Didn't realise she'd been off the tv for so long.

R.I.P. James Last. I got "tricked" by my Dad into going to one of his gigs, and against all probability thoroughly enjoyed it. BBC News

Just read the terrible news that James Horner died at the controls of his light plane after it crashed in California yesterday.
James belonged to that great caché of film score composers who emerged during the golden age of sci-fi which began in the 1970's and extended on through the 80's. He formed part of an illustrious triumvirate, the other two members being Jerry Goldsmith and of course, John Williams. They all had their own inimitable style, however Mr Horner was probably the most versatile of the three, as the glorious piece below ably demonstrates.
Director Ron Howard tweeted: "Brilliant Composer James Horner, friend & collaborator on 7 movies has tragically died in a plane crash. My heart aches for his loved ones."
RIP James and thank you for your music...
