Lots of dealer adverts online for the SR Pink fuse (Kemp Electronics, VH Audio etc). You missed a trick yesterday, Martin - You could have promoted an SR "Pink Salmon" variant - specifically tailored to Rock!

Hah! Well, others can review the SR Pink first. I would hesitate to upset the balance I have with a careful mixture of Purple and Orange fuses.

Remember SR bring out a new fuse every year. each one slightly better than the previous one I am lead to believe.

Hah! Well, others can review the SR Pink first. I would hesitate to upset the balance I have with a careful mixture of Purple and Orange fuses. Interesting point Martin. I have settled on 4 Purple and 2 Orange. I did have 5 Purple at one point but preferred the 4 and 2 combo. Side by side comparison and the Purple is clearly better than the Orange. Lower noise, stronger dynamics, clarity etc. However, in my setup too many purples and the sound became too technical and a bit clinical. An Orange restored a sense of flow and fluidity and generally just chilled better. It's the reason I was not tempted with the Master Fuse. Maybe too much of a good thing and messing about with the balance again. So the best characteristics of the Purple combined with the best characteristics of the Orange might be my ideal audio fuse. Could that be the Pink? Possibly. I may have to have a listen.

I agree with all the balance points also. I only have two purple so far, there is room for one more to be tested but I think that will be the lot aa the rest are orange.

I wonder about an Orange or Purple (internal) for my TAD D-1000 and M2500
Only need the one external fuse, Purple feeding the AM Conditioner which has US style sockets out to the kit Purple internal for the Rendu

Purple internal for the Rendu Do you mean rear panel or is there another fuse I've missed?

Purple internal for the Rendu Do you mean rear panel or is there another fuse I've missed? Internal / rear panel usually same for me The Rendu is rear panel From what I have seen both the TAD are internal, take off panels internal

Ah, it's better to differentiate between true internal (panels off) and rear panel (easy swap).
I don't think I have anything with internal fuses now (the Zero Zone PSUs had them).

Anyone have an idea where the fuse location is on a Sony 77" A95L tv? I replaced the captive power cord with an upgraded IEC and Shunyata Venom NR power cord, but didn't see any fuse loacted near the power cord (may be deep inside tv). Thanks for any input!

Looking at older Sony TV power supply circuit board photos online, the fuse was soldered in place. I'll leave that fuse alone! I have the Venom NR power cord plugged into my Shunyata Everest power supply - that should be enough....

Helluva cable & supply you have there. What difference do they make?

Thanks, I really didn't do a lot of comparisons. I am just a big believer of cleaning up any dirty power from the wall to any of my components, while also protecting them from power surges, etc. Mostly for my audio components, but it makes sense also protecting the TV and as a bonus produces a clearer picture with more color saturation.
