Well apart from getting a wee bit colder and work being as busy as ever I have managed to accquire a couple of Wadia's that have been missing from the Big W collection, a really superb example of a 521 and a cracking 781i player.
Both a date with destiny and a soldering iron......................

Well we have a couple of chaps of with covid in the last few weeks, so I'e been back at it for a couple of days (deep joy)
Just fault finding a nice Plinius player with no output at all, managed top get the digital out working currenting digesting the digital section circuit diagram.
Hooked up some a pair of Nord's I had to purchase for loaners, so its a spot of Whitesnake circa 1981 this afternoon via a Topping D90 (AKM) & a Nord mono's with the upgraded op amp stage. well what can i say?
Paint is drying nicely, smoothly and with non gusto and with the ease of double recliner with extra comfy fillings.
Just spank me for those SINAD figures baby I'm in Xanax heaven................now where's my Robin Hood outfit

Thanks Paul, I'm leaving the Plinius for now, requires some dac chips and a spot of smt work to rectify.
Now I'm going to start my own amplifier at long last, finished the back panel machining and made the correct speaker terminal spacings this time lol
Both Anne & myself are off to Berlin for the week from Tuesday so a real break whoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo yes!

Well this year as started off at the same pace last year end about warp 4. I can't believe it's the 18th of Januray today WTF does the time really go??
Have been really manic for the last 9 months with no signs of slowing up, recently we have had a big variety of projects/repairs/new designs and customer sales.
I recently measured (and listened to unlike a few places lol) a new piece from the land of the rising sun, its quite rare to find a decet measuring piece that actually sounds bloody good as well, hence the mention, some new speakers I'm running in for a client and a monster pre amp landed the other day, box size 0.6m cubed that quite bonkers!
