Long time no post. No changes apart from a 2nd time repaired and still much loved Transfiguration Orpheus. You will see more gear than I posted in the last system pic. But I have owned all you see for a very good while. I do think Expert Stylus got much closer to the original Immutable tip profile this time. The last effort used a much larger diamond. It might seem better value but the need for low mass is more important in this particular application. I don't know whether the lower mass diamond is fluke, cost cutting or Expert Stylus getting better. Whatever;)

The box claim isn't true but then again what is the absolute source of truth? Fill me in here, please. That said, I still feel this is a shit good piece of kit.

What a ridiculous bit of advertising, Russ Andrews would be proud of that. But as long as you are loving it, as the song says, nothing else matters ...

Russ Andrews.
I don't know what to say. TBH I thought he was not my kind of a person so I never looked into him in any depth.
That said, so what?

Radioactive wire really does glow bright. A duo of Amperex 211s in one of the monos saying hello. It's a bit blurred on zoom in but short of the effort required for a tripod it'll do to make the point. In all honesty I think the Amperex 211 is a lot rarer than the Telefunken RS237. Also, I think the same of the United Electronics 211, which is rarer still. Whatever.

No need for any heating, then.
