Since we might be confined to our homes for quite some time I have ordered some bits and pieces to help me reduce any chance of boredom. I am also busy thinning down my music database. Far too much junk that I am unlikely to want to play in the future. And since I bought an Onkyo network streamer/receiver I have enjoyed listening to stations from "back home". I come from a place where they are not just multi cultural, but also multi lingual.

I notice that Ocado has imploded temporarily ...

Accidental bulk buying
Saw the boss had added raisins to our order yesterday. Ok, getting a bit short, useful
Sorting today to show we *didn't* need the brown sugar she ordered, and I cancelled - and found another almost finished packet of raisins to add to the one I was using another half used pack of raisins a Tupperware container of raisins
Think we have enough raisins
And considering we use sugar only for making bread plenty of that too in various types and colours In her defence I think that may have been brought and not used by a.n.other

Hmm, I wonder. If you put all those raisins in a food processor and wiz them up to a pulp and then spread them out in really thin square sheets and put them in the sun to dry whether you could make your own...

Tins are the last bastion of sterilised, safe, food.

No, it's ok. Tin openers are 'technology'.

Tried to go to Tesco today. Every aisle had a queue of at least 50 If people just carried out shopping as normal there would be no issues

I managed to get mum a Sainsbury's delivery today, and it didn't turn out too badly. There were a couple of things missing, and a couple of OK subs, but on the whole, she did pretty well. She even got loo rolls.
I've got a delivery set for between 15:00 and 16:00. I've more than doubled my usual order because I can't get a Sainsbury's delivery for the next 3 weeks at least. I wonder how much of it I'll actually get.

I went to a local Waitrose last night - was like a ghost town. Hardly anyone there and little on the shelves. Cheapest shop we've ever done.

On the matter of toilet roll there's some crazy bidding on eBay - I guess some people are just having a laugh by bidding thousands of pounds but all very strange.

What pisses me off is the waste.
Fresh fruit and veg cannot be sensibly eaten before it goes off so it is being bought to go off and be binned
I assume freezers are being sold by the truckload so dick heads can fill them up with years worth of food which will also be binned next power cut
