The boss pointed that out as a problem. I disagreed and proved it ok
Tesco still limiting me to 3 loose tomatoes - or 3 big packs of tomatoes and others the same

The boss pointed that out as a problem. I disagreed... I didn't think that was allowed?

That's good to hear. I'm going to go this evening after dark, I think.. Is that wise?... Isn't that when the zombie shoppers come out?... Will you be in Charlton Heston's The Omega Man mode and it'll be, suitably armed and a quick in-and-out, constantly on the lookout for Anthony Zerbe, and his heard?

Christchurch being the nearest Sainsbury's to us, the walking dead are hopefully at home asleep to some inane reality TV or having read the Express / Mail ZZZzzzz 😉 In the end I didn't go. We could last a bit longer. Every day delaying hopefully improves the supply chain..

Nothing to do work panic..
I'm trying to get my mum signed up as a vunerable shopper. We're a bit behind the curve, but she was adamant that she would never shop online.. even while the virus problem was ramping up.. "it'll be all right, things will get back to normal". Now our 'Prime Idiot' has it, the penny has dropped rather!
She's 85 isolating can't walk far let alone carry stuff etc. The local Coop is a struggle now.
Sainsbury's has aged over 70 as vunerable criteria. She's never done online shopping but is fairly computer savvy. Knows her way around Rightmove etc things that interest her.
Can't register all new accounts, but she's shopped all her life at Sainsbury's and has the Nectar account and points to prove it..
She's to call their 0800 number. It's busy during the day, so I'd trying later.
Only 8% of shops were done online before, now 98% (guess) are trying to use the system 😓

I've been lucky so far with my own shopping but I've been trying to register myself (health reasons) although I'm only 66. I can't get through to them either, and I've been trying up until they close the help(?)line at 11pm. I've been shopping with them for years, and I even pay for a delivery pass.

My mum got through, you could only answer their automated questions with button presses. The automated voice said she qualified and they would write or call her back within 2 working days.

I had been buying toilet paper for awhile. So when this became an issue, no need to buy any more. Have five packs in the back shed.
Plus my wife being thorough with our emergency supplies (replaced each solstice). She's lived in Wellington all her life - major earthquake threat. Very little needed to buy, other than our usual weekly shop.
The day before our lockdown, one of my daughters came over and was able to give her some of gluten free supplies (she's celiac).
We had madness in the supermarkets (panic in the streets of Wellington...) leading up to this.
Now into day 4 of nationwide lockdown. Shitty weather aids in people staying indoors. High police presence with a WTF are you doing? attitude. No need to go shopping for at least three days. See if things have died down by then.

Not looking good at work You'll just have to lay the law down and tell them to adopt the Sheryl Crow Bogroll Management System : One sheet per "visit".

Local Coop was quiet this morning Easy to keep distance. No checkout queue. I practised spray hand, pick up, spray hand, pick up.. sprayed the basket handle and hand before.. feels paranoid. The spray I use is homemade - 80% (100% pure denatured) ethanol and 20% aloe Vera gel. None of your Vodka rubbish here. I have a license to buy the alcohol by the gallon, as I use it for wood conditioning.
Coop had bread, fruit, veg, milk, cakes, tinned beans and pouch lentils. no eggs, flour, toilet paper (not that we need it), baked beans Paracetamol or alcohol free beer or Ryvita!
Maybe Sainsbury's tomorrow?

That is generally considered the most effective concentration and is what we use in the lab (I run a microbiology testing company).
