I have made sure that if the meat and vegetables run out and I can't get out of the house, I still have a survival stash set aside.
What are you going to do on day 2 though?!

Just got back from the shops - didn't have too much trouble getting the bits I needed, things seemed to have calmed down a bit from last week. It's good to see that more people are taking it seriously. I didn't see anyone else wearing a mask when I did the shop last week, but there are more now, and most people seem to keeping their distance from each other. I would usually go to the shops at least once a day, but now I don't want to be going out more than once or twice a week, so I have been buying things in greater quantities than usual, but of course observing the three-item limit.

I just got back from trip to chemist to collect my meds. Thankfully only one other person there so lots of room. Paracetamol rationed to one pack per person which is sensible.
Pavements were much less busy and most people keeping an appropriate distance.
No toilet roll or eggs available in local shops of course ...

The boss and I are staying in for as long as we can. Weeks, months if necessary
Fingers crossed for our Tesco delivery tomorrow. Many items limited to 3 which is fine. Broad brush strokes EG. We can only have 3 loose tomatoes but could probably have 3 *packs* of tomatoes, 1 pack is fine. Only 3 loose Broccoli but we can also have 3 wrapped broccoli which is fine for us for the week. Loads of stuff just not available, as expected with the cut down of amount on offer
Oh yes. Shredded Wheat bitesize *still* 50% off

My sister said Asda had a security presence today more than normal. Caught on the radio yesterday that some supermarkets were limiting the number of people in at a time. Wonder what I might be able to get tomorrow?...

Our Sainsburys is limiting the number of people in the store at one time. The queue (with distancing) is quite long but everyone is patient with it.

Same policy within our local MnS and Waitrose, however when inside the store the social distancing advice goes to rat, for the most part physically impossible, to a degree minds go to Mush.

We reached out to a local deli and have organised a weekly box, which will pretty much cover us for food. Will only need to go shopping for household stuff now.

In the other hand I plan to hold out a crucifix ala Vampire scaring if they persist 🤣😂 Not sure how I will push the trolley or shop..

I got a Sainsbury's delivery today, as did Mum, and the most (to me) extraordinary things were not available. Dishwasher tablets, dishwasher cleaner, yeast (again), baked beans (again) although Mum got hers, bleach but mum got hers, and organic Tomato soup. There were other things but the fact that they were missing didn't surprise me. But, believe it or not, we both got loo rolls.

Tesco is limiting online shoppers to 80 items per order as part of a plan to increase the number of delivery slots available to vulnerable households. Supermarket home deliveries usually contain fewer than 60 products but some worried shoppers have been placing orders of more than 100. To “reach more customers with more deliveries”, Tesco said a new limit of 80 products had been set. It said the change would enable it to get “more orders on to each van, helping us to ensure all customers can get the essentials they need”. A spokesperson said: “We know that it’s difficult to get a delivery slot for online shopping at the moment due to high demand, and we ask those who are able to safely come to stores to do so so that we can start to free up more slots for the more vulnerable.” MORE
