Wow. I'm on the M&S Alvarinho from the Expressions range tonight - it's utterly delicious and most German Riesling like with a little sweetness ... A bargain at around a tenner.

I tried a splash of Sainsbury's Sticky Toffee Rum Liqueur in my hot chocolate this evening. I think I'm both glad and sad, in equal parts, that they don't sell it all year round. It's a bit nice.  |

I have been given a bottle of Feuerheerd's Portuguese Anchor Wine Reserva 2020 red by a kind supplier. I'm looking forward to tasting that once we're into the Xmas break. Well, this turned out to be a bit of a stunner, like a good Spanish Red with just a touch more body. No tannin, lasting taste that just got better to the end of the bottle. |

I forgot to report back, and I'm enjoying a glass right now which is what reminded me; well, my shopping delivery arrived, and I needed the space in the fridge.  It's very creamy, although perhaps a tad less chewy than Guinness and it's full of flavour and very easy to drink. Strength wise, it's 4.1 ABV, exactly the same as Guinness "Draught In Can". |

Paradiso Citra IPA - alcohol free. Some nicely tropical notes but a little sour on the finish. 3/5 Clausthaler Unfiltered Dry Hopped Lager - 0.4% alcohol Oh yes! Lovely full bodied, hoppy flavour. Wonderfully pure ingredients, this just oozes quality and I'll be buying more for sure. 4.5/5

Sainsbury's has a " buy 4 - get the cheapest free" offer on beers at the moment, so I've just ordered 4 what I consider expensive (£3.50 to £4.25) cans to arrive with next weekend's groceries.  |

How do you fancy " Vault City Triple Fruited Mango Modern Sour Beer" or " Brew York Juice Forsyth Fruited IPA" or perhaps " BrewDog Candy Kittens Raspberry & Guava New England IPA?" Maybe I can tempt you with "T iny Rebel Pineapple Express IPA" or " BrewDog Silk Road Lychee & Mango Hazy IPA"? No? " BrewDog Elvis Juice Grapefruit Infused IPA" then, or " Drygate Disco Forklift Truck Mango Pale Ale"? There are many, many more.  |

No, it was one before the big fad - citrus lemon infused, nothing fancy, but it really tasted good.

Got it, it's Adnams Ghost Ship. Really lovely citrus pale ale, not too powerful, just compliments it well. There is a 0.5% alcohol version, too.  |

I tried the non-alcoholic Ghost Ship and was very pleased that I only bought the one bottle, the same with "Doom Bar".

I'm drinking Peroni 0% at the Barbican.
Perfectly pleasant but without the depth of flavour of the best, just a bit thin tasting. 3/5 being generous.

We had a bottle of Barefoot Californian Merlot in the weekend. Awful, with no redeeming features.
Gold medal winner, what bollox.
