Demoing my system yesterday for a buyer of my Isobariks and rather taken with music I didn't know
It is rather good from the brief experience I had and I will be listening to more.

I'm going for a listen in a mo. Which of the movements did you like, Mike?

Sorry have no idea.
My visitor was in charge of the music. Perhaps track 1.
Must email him and ask him what else he played cos that was pretty good too.

No worries, I'm listening now from the start. The opening is good and it's an excellent recording.

I was impressed how good it sounded on my system.
More of the "music I don't like" being made very likeable. Be good to hear what you think of the engineering and production

The production is very good. There is some very deep hall ambience in it, coming through intact over Spotify. The performance is enthused and really good to listen to.
I am not at all surprised you like it, Mike. It's episodic and has parallels with the Christina Pluhar pieces.

Good
Can you imagine if it were not so good. Would we still be impressed ?

Good reproduction gives more access to the music. It would be pointless otherwise.

I finished the Rameau and really liked it. Thanks for the heads-up.

Asked and have a reply on the other one which was almost as good for me
Carl Philip Emmanuel Bach (directed by Christopher Hogwood with the academy of ancient music - Oiseau Lyre)

Very nice Mike - Hogwood and the Academy are one of the most respected outfits for early music.

Do you know the piece by CPE?

One of the things I noticed for the first time with these two was the 'beat' that I felt maybe only internally or given by the music.
Always thought classical needed a 'beat'. Perhaps it (Baroque only?) had one all along

Thanks Jules.
Maybe I discovered 'it'
One of those things that you get or it arrives one day in an invisible package.
Classical opens up

I'm listening now on my new cans and really enjoying it Mike.
Quite a dynamic recording - that drum in the Zais overture!
So as far as I can see they are making an imaginary symphony here from cobbling together portions of different Rameau works.
Certainly a good way to get an introduction to the composer.

All the tracks are recorded live - I must say these guys know how to play!
This 2 min track alone would be enough to convert me to Rameau -
