That actually might be a good yardstick (Spotify) as if your interest was just HiFi, then arguably Spotify would be redundant. I love discovery, so for me it's essential. Clean delivery of a digital music file or packet, is always going to trump lesser mechanical systems and your Pi/DigiOne is a good example of less really can be more. I've been banging that drum for years, mostly to unbelievers - thankfully that is changing. Now, good reminder . . . music and coffee

The SoundLink Mini is a great travel speaker Mike - takes up no space at all in a suitcase.

Impressed me for what it is I was surprised when I heard it and a bit more surprised to see it was Bose.

I was messing around with the camera so I thought I'd take a quick snap of the cheapo system in the living room.

Currently listening to these www.dodocool.com/p-da108.html which can be had for under £20.00 on Amazon at the moment. Playing lossy files (AAC @ 320kbps CBR) using Winamp on my Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo, and it sounds great

I've used shorter versions of them as height adjustable feet before now. The solid aluminium variety, like the ones you have there (I think) are really nicely made.

I bought some bigger diameter ones to try to make some feet for a really heavy turntable but they were flimsy, hollow sh*te things. I'm sure the solid aluminium ones exist in that size but I gave up looking.

Is that a Squeezebox Controller next to the lava lamp? Yup. My next question was going to be "where's the Squeezebox?", but then I noticed that the lava lamp and Controller are sat on it.

You can (just) see the SMSL Q5 in this one... I should definitely have polished the screen on the OtterBoxed iPad Mini first.
