In very bad conditions, that can happen, but more often it's just great sheaves of snow coming off car roofs. Going past lorries (trucks) can be a lot worse as they sling snow and crap everywhere, momentarily blinding you.

I would not fancy cycling anywhere in those temperatures. Think it is a Swedish saying Never too cold as long as you wear the right clothes (paraphrase) Took me many years of tuning to wear the right clothes for cycling Started with jeans and a waterproof coat. Not quite right  |

It's a beautiful sunny day in North London! Still got a bit of wind left - the weather, not me that is... Same here in Kent. I went to bed with the rain and wind lashing against my bedroom window and woke up to (admittedly weak) sunshine, a bit of a breeze, and patches of blue sky. |

The tail end has reached Potsdam and it is pretty breezy this evening with intermittent rain. Warm though (and today is was 20 ºC warmer than last week!).
