Checked the gate today
Amazon lobbed a parcel and left it behind the gate
Don't know when as we hadn't checked for days.

I ordered some more stuff from Jacamo yesterday - Sunday. Evri, in the form of Graham, as usual, has just delivered my parcel, just after 13:30 on Monday.

Interesting tale of Amazon ordering
Looked at sealant.
Same price at Amazon and Screwfix
Free delivery with Screwfix saying
Order by 4pm (even in a Sunday) and receive the next day
Just missed out on the same day delivery from Amazon, which said
Order in 4 hours for same day
Decided Amazon was the one
Went back shortly after to find the same day, still well inside the 4 hours was no longer there
Oh
Bet Amazon would be better for delivery today so still went with them
Just gone 5pm and not here....
Bet Screwfix would have delivered by now

If it's out for delivery it'll show the delivery window, and if it's close it'll track the delivery on a map in real time for you to follow. It's like your Amazon parcel that was delivered and you didn't realise. The website would have shown it as delivered, and you could have checked sooner. |

I put all my deliveries into the Parcels app. Excellent notifications of where each package is at.

An oddity
Unmarked, white van backed half way up the drive, blocking it and, yes it just happened someone else was waiting to come in
Bloke got out dug out a big, heavy box and walked to the front door
Nice bloke, played with the dogs for a while

I think I may have a problem with a parcel being delivered (I hope) by Royal Mail. It arrived at " Medway MC and will now be sent to your local delivery office." on Tuesday ...and Wednesday ...and again Today. I've just checked back, and apparently "Y our Item was received by Sevenoaks DO on 07-12-2023 and is now due for delivery today." and that was timed at 14:09. It's now 19:30. Either my postie has got VERY short legs, or they're fibbing, and it ain't coming today. |

I have a delivery by APC due today. I don't have much experience of them but the tracking link offers no ability to set a safe location. Why are these basics not covered by all courier companies?

Royal Mail tracked worked perfectly this week and we never seem to have any problems with them for parcels. Regular mail can be a.bit intermittent though.
I have an Innuos PhoenixNET coming next week by RoyalMail 24 tracked - I hope that works. I know a second one was on the list for next year and for Germany, but this was a used unit from a dealer and almost half price. It still counts as a 2024 addition though in my books as I still need to transfer it from the UK to Germany and that won't happen until January.

YunExpress have apparently picked up a parcel for me in mainland China. I ordered a couple of Hasselblad V-fit backs for Fuji instant film from a bunch called Nons Camera in Hong Kong a few weeks ago and it looks like they have been made.
Let's see how their tracking works. Can't be worse than UPS in China who are still creating a label despite the order having been delivered safely in the UK 2 weeks ago! Mind, it might explain why there was no customs documentation either on or in the box. I need to chase for an invoice now!

I was carded by APC. Annoyingly, their depot is in Wokingham. So that's a 30 mile trip to collect it tomorrow.
