What length speaker cables do you use MartinT? I'd love for you (and the forum)to review the stuff I've been on about so I'm going to make a set up and pass them round.

I currently use a 2m pair, Chris. I'll gladly evaluate them but I'll say it exactly as I hear it so be warned!

Excellent! Looks like I will make up an 8m pair of single wire runs. All I ask is bear in mind the price of about £2 per metre and compare it accordingly.

Sorry MartinT! It is kind of tied in though as the stuff I've mentioned has been compared favourably to NVA 6 (I think) and is also a silver content cable and is massively cheaper. I'm sure your ones nice as well - and so it should be at that price. Hopefully this thread(whilst hijacked a wee bit) will lead to forum members getting an NVA comparable cable at a fraction of the cost.
Again - apologies and that's it now.

This cable's details are: M22759/43-12-47 and the Nato Stock Number is 6145995476603. The seller told me it was surplus stock from an abandoned defence project.
IIRC Paul Stewart reckoned it was the same cable as used by Silversounds. Two lengths per connector and all four lengths per speaker gently twisted in a starquad arrangement. Wigwam contributors claimed it was the same cable as chord epic twin, although I am led to believe theirs is just one length per connector.
I use odd lengths (approx 3m and 5m) which I can offer if anyone wants to try it. Paul is a member here so I hope he can verify my understanding and maybe give more info here.
I really like the stuff and it's the cable I have been happiest with out of all comers.but then I don't have a high end system and I'm not always typical of others so I say try it for yourself.

Chris, are you making any sets for sale? I'd like to change from my current set, and never like to spend much on cables!

My plan is to make up 2x8metre runs that the forum will be able to borrow. If I did sell it it would be at cost but it's very very easy to work with. I also recommend using silver plugs with it with a tiny wee touch of silver solder.
I rate this very highly and it's great value. If anyone else has used it please chime in.
I have 2x1m lengths handy but I'm not home till around the 2nd so can't get them to anybody.
Bargain of the week this stuff.

Hmmm, I'll wait for others to report their findings. Several years back I made up some speaker cables using silver plated OFC, burnt them in for a few hours but thought they brought an brightness to the sound. I left them in at a mini home fest, and within minutes, all my guests were begging me to take them out of the system! I put my CAT5 'Twisted Twins' www.tnt-audio.com/clinica/triple_t_e.html back in and sound balance and the peace of my guests was restored. Phew........

The seller does 3 different lengths.
12Mtr is the longest, but if you contact him longer lengths are available.

Burnt in Greg? Wossat then?
Just pulling yer leg. There's plenty threads on here from guys who have already liked them mate. Each to their own and they may very well not suit your system. My point here is lots of guys like them, they're very high quality and very affordable. As has been noted there's going to be a set kicking about to try, free of charge.

I've no idea how to link these but in there's a few threads relating to these : speaker cable valve/ss,Audio Note speaker cable and follow on from anti cables all cover bits about them.

I would post links to threads but for some reason it's not letting me do it today, I tried posting an interesting EBay listing earlier and I've pasted many links here before, has something changed?
Edit: I'm not sure if this is significant but I notice a message saying "the thread in whoch you're posting has no effects applied to it". I'm not trying to use quick reply and I'm trying with and without selecting BBCode

I'm fairly sure all is working as usual and nothing's changed, Andrew. Sometimes you just have to restart the browser or even the machine to restore normal functionality.
