The Antique's Roadshow had twice the viewing figures on Sunday.
And that's without Arthur Negus.

I didn't see it, but I did read that it got good reviews almost across the board.

Not sure about it to be honest. I tend to think Top Gear almost needs to reinvent itself

I thought the first episode was excellent, the relationship between the three presenters is much more realistic, much more like the Jeremy Clarkson days.

I've watched this week's edition. Childish. I turned it off. I'm clearly not in their target audience. 30% entertainment with 70% cars would be fine but 90% entertainment at best....not for me.
Last week was better.

Agreed Clive - very puerile indeed, amusing in places but think the joke will wear thin in a while.
Looks like the producers for the series decided on 'back to basics Top Gear for lads'.

May have gone to far the other way into laddish behaviour as suggested. Freddie is very awkward in front of studio cameras.

Rare for me to comment. I truly loved the Clarkson days. Now this is two oafs and one professional (Chris Harris).
The only real content was the one professional and the Tesla Model 3, what a waste !
And talk about dumbing down.............

I think their presumed market has changed to be honest, this is much more about a bunch of lads mucking about with cars, it is no longer meant to be an informative car show that it started life out as, but then Jeremy Clarkson and co took it down this path, well before these guys did.
Personally, I am really liking the way in which this series is going at the moment.
