I see that the TG team now has Matt LeBlanc as one of the co-presenters. But more importantly (if you can call it that), Sabine Schmitz is allegedly also joining the team. She is a far better prospect than Suzie Wolff in terms of looks, skill, and smile. That Ford transit van drive still gives me the chills.

I thought Sabine had ruled herself out as host just a few days ago, but maybe just trying to be discreet ...

Sabine is the best thing about this new 'team'. It doesn't fill me with hope.

I'll believe it when I see it - a while after the Transit drive 'they' said that she was joining the team, but it never happened then, and might not happen now.

Joe Bradley, a well known radio presenter in the US, interviewed Sabine a few days ago. A transcript of that interview goes like this: Bradley: "Now you're going to be very busy, uh, filming…I'm from the UK, so I'm going to see you on my TV screen in the new Top Gear program. How's things going with that?"Schmitz: "Oh sorry, no comment." Bradley: "Oh really! You're not allowed to tell us?"Schmitz: "You know, I'm all the time with Top Gear, but not as an, um, host."
What Sabine said that she was not a host. Now to me that is an important clarification. Let's not forget that the BBC released the statement that Matt LeBlanc is a co-presenter. He is not described as a host either.

As I read things there will not be a female presenter on the new Top Gear.
I will probably watch it and see how things go.

Fortunately I view anything remotely related to the Top Gear franchise as about as interesting as the small print on a cereal packet
Must admit as a small child I aways wondered what 'Riboflavin' was (the curiousity was short lived)

For me, the old Top Gear had changed from being a motoring program to a rather ridiculous set of ego-trips and 'boys doing silly things with expensive toys'.
If it now reverts to a PROPER motoring program, and they actually look at some cars that cost less than my house, then I may watch it again.
I certainly won't be watching Clarkson on Amazon.

Five people have been announced as presenters, which includes Eddy and Sabine. So Sabine was correct when she said that she was not a host.

I'm just going to treat it as a totally new motoring programme and go from there.
I have watched some pretty awful car shows in my time and gone back for more; Classic Car Show anyone?
