In that case, I think you're after MartinT - if I've forgotten someone, PLEASE shout out and let me know. Would be good if you could try both the BMU and TIS together.

I've said it quite a few times now: Steve, Accudazed asked Kaz for it. He asked to borrow it on the 9th of December, which I think is before anyone else on TAS or at HFS. I know because he copied me in to the PM he sent Kaz, something I suggested, so that I could vouch for him if necessary because RD was initially suspicious of who Steve might be.

A list of borrowers is a really good idea............

A list of borrowers is a really good idea............ Yes, I've also asked for this as it has worked very well in the past with round robin equipment loans posted on other forums. With a list, we all know where we stand and who to contact to receive from and to who to pass the equipment on to. Assuming you are right Dave, and I am next after MartinT, I'll PM him accordingly. Thank you.

Am I typing in invisible ink or something? Why does nobody acknowledge that Steve asked for this cable a month ago?
Here's the PM he sent Kaz:
And Kaz' last (late) reply
Dave - will you please sort Steve's request out one way or the other?

Right. I have no idea what Kaz promised - I don't think the Doc has either but could be wrong.
MartinT has the TIS right now I understand. I have nobody on my list after him, so if it could be sent to Steve next, that should help sort it I hope.
Mike, I do have a list for the BMU and TIS, but *currently* know nothing about any other units that may be out there. The Doc seems in charge of the speakers right now, but that can easily change if anyone's interested and contacts me.
Once Steve has finished with the BMU, it's to go to Greg next.

I agree, Chris, Steve's request should be prioritised, so if he has missed out and it is currently with Martin, please send to Steve next and before me. As said, Chris, a list of who is in line for the trial would be most appropriate.

Accudazed Steve is in line for the TIS after MartinT and I have another on the list for it when Steve has had his fill. Perhaps Steve could PM me when he's ready..
Thanks
Dave

Thanks Dave. And to you Greg for understanding.
Yes, I started this thread in the hope that it would spur Kaz into setting out the conditions and letting people know how the thing would work, so now surely is the time for some clarity.
Hopefully, it can be smooth sailing now and we won't have to stick our noses in!

Further to my previous post, Dave, yes you do have me on your apparent list to receive the TIS after Martin according to your own previous post. Please make a proper list and publish it once and for all. Reinforcing what I have said and as it appears Steve has been missed out, Martin should forward the TIS to him and in turn, he will send it onto me. As it is possible Steve could have both the BMU and TIS at the same time, I am happy for Steve to hang on to the BMU for longer than a week if that allows him to make a judgement using both components at the same time. Hopefully no others will object to this. Thereafter, both BMU and TIS can be forwarded to me, together in the same package.

Stick noses in as often as you like. It'll get more detailed when other loan items peer above the parapet.

Apparently you are now in charge of the loan scheme. Please bring some organisation to it so we all know where we stand. Thank you.

If the mods here want to butt in to aid PR, it's fine with me - as long as I'm kept in the loop. That's all I meant.
It's only a small list at present, but as of this moment -
BMU - Accudazed currently followed by Greg.
TIS - MartinT, then to Accudazed, followed by an HFS member.

Could you please add Greg to the TIS loan list?

Done -
PLEASE may I add something for when goods are shipped to the next in the queue? I quote directly from The Doc on this -
"Another thing I think you need to make sure everyone understands. Any damage or loss to the BMU or anything else NVA doing the rounds is the responsibility of the user so if it is being sent then it should be insured for full value. R"

Update as of today - and hope it's correct...
BMU - currently with Accudazed and going to Greg next.
TIS - currently with MartinT, then on to Accudazed and then to Greg.
As said above - when sending NVA goods via a carrier service/post etc., PLEASE insure for full market value in case of damage.
Thank you.

Dave, could you please put together a definitive list of the terms of the scheme so that everyone knows how it works and what is expected of them. This is what I wanted Kaz to do when I started this thread.

Taken just now from HFS -
"TAS asked for loan conditions, so off the top of my head and subject to change.
1 Anyone who has made trouble for NVA or me in the past can go fry their head, don’t expect me to loan them anything. UNLESS they want to talk to me about it and explain it and apologise for it.
2 User is responsible for loss or damage, normal usage wear or marks is not a problem.
3 All loan stock obviously remains the property of NVA.
4 It should be moved on in *reasonable* time unless specifically agreed to. Unable to lift it is not an acceptable excuse.
5 We will stop the loan scheme at any time we decide to and no one has a *right* to get any NVA products on loan.
6 Please enjoy it, say what you want about it, but please don’t take the piss and mess us around."

The conversations so far have concerned the TIS and BMU, but many or most of you play records.
MOD: sales blurb removed
The offer of a loan is there if anyone's interested and I think this model offers useful improvements in dynamic scale and 'heft' in the bass (not 'more bass' as such) over popular cheapies, including the NVA Phono 1.
MOD: this is straying into a sales post, Dave, and knocking the competition too. You know the rules: wait until questions are asked, no hard sell.
