Oh they do NVA Flashback Mark Grant to name just 3 You are right, this morning though I made up some 0.44m, does anyone make them? Lord Major member. Each of the trio I posted will make to requested size. They beat you to it. It must be inspiring making and getting good results with your cables but try not to let your enthisiasm cloud your thinking to the bigger picture of you are far from the first to walk this path, my son.

I have a photo for you roxborough - - and I'm not sure what you can tell from a photo. My iffy soldering is hidden inside the connectors! I love the colour obviously, what do you use it for and how do you find it? It's the interconnect between Pip preamp and Benchmark power amp. It is one of 2 2m options I have - this one is a starquad cable construction. (currently, my setup means I need 2m ic's). It is a fully balanced connection - which suits the Benchmark best. The other cable is fully balanced using Klotz NC5000 - which is a regular 2 core and screen. Whilst you could use it as a cable for a regular ic I haven't tried it yet (but might). It's "special" properties are noise rejection due to the cable construction in a balanced connection configuration. I haven't A:B'd - so this is just an initial impression. I like it best. It lets through the "shine" and "air" at the top without compromising bass and warmth. But it (the system) only sounded properly "right" when I moved the speakers far enough away from the wall

Does anybody need them over a 0.5, pair? Audio users who have equipment further than half a metre apart.

On another forum I have just been asked, "Is it going to be better than the narrow 35 um thick traces that carry the audio signal inside the devices"? His argument is that external cable is all better than what happens inside the unit.
So; have we all got it wrong guys, do cables make any difference at all?

I am also sure that losing the extra 6cm will be really difficult.

Roxbrough 58i 0.83m with RB58 50 ohm and sheath insulation. I like those plugs, Roxbrough. I've used them too after seeing them on my Origin Live tonearm.

Not the best pic, but you can at least see the plugs:

Here it is on a Rock I see the plugs are similar if not the same Singularity. Love the Rock by the way, a friend has it feeding a MF pre-Dr Thomas and Heybrook HB1's. I have never heard the HB1's sound so full, they usually sound a bit bright to me. Can you still get the gell for the tray?

Lots of places sell the silicon damping fluid, it's a matter of getting the right viscosity.

Erm, no, I was just saying that the fluid is widely available should the original not be.

Erm, no, I was just saying that the fluid is widely available should the original not be. Oh right, it's just that I haven't heard much of the Rock recently and wondered if they are still in business. I'm going to look now. I have to say, it sounds brilliant, the one I've heard several times.

There have been several debates over fluid viscosity over the years. The stuff Townshend use is meant to be harder to find. I've always liked Max's products although I haven't had as much success with Rocks in my system for a while. IMO they are worth the money just to look at

I remember the thick stuff that SME used to supply took a long time to ooze out. Other arms use much less viscous stuff. Frankly, it's all damned messy to handle.

The friend I have who has one, does not use the tray, gentlemen, he claims the stylus tracks 'better' without it.
I would not be able to refute or back that, but what I can tell you is the Rock sounds really good.
