Ron Dennis said quite explicitly that both Alonso and Button were staying. Mind you, I wouldn't trust him too much.
As for Red Bull, Mateschitz (or whatever his name is) might do something different, although I'm fairly sure he could swing the deal with Ferrari for their latest spec engines. He may get rid of whiny Christian Horner, though. He's becoming a liability.

So, Button and Alonso are staying at McLaren.
Big question, what engine will Red Bull and Toro Rosso use in 2016, or will they leave F-1.
Answers on a postcard.

Hard to say, either Ferrari or Mercedes could back down (doubtful) or they go back to Renault. I think Honda couldn't even if Red Bull wanted them (although Honda next year may come good).

I see the pouty brat is having another tantrum. He will likely never be a world champion because he hasn't got the agression or raw talent of the likes of Hamilton or Vettel (I won't include Alonso as he has gone seriously off the boil), and Verstappen will make mincemeat of him in a similar car.

Yes, well done Lewis. Some media is saying he's not well liked? Seems liked enough on here hehe.
Give Alonso or Button or Vettel or Ricardo etc equal machinery against Rosberg and I would expect them all to beat him regularly enough for him not to win a world championship. But racing cars & drivers are fickle things and a change in regs that impacts the feel of a car can knock back or bring forward performance enough.
Did you see the Dario Franchitti Goodwood Cars of the Future? It was on terrestrial and ITV Player link not working...

As soon as the BBC announced sports cuts, I knew that F1 would be affected. To be honest, only covering half the season's races is pretty much useless anyway so I do all my watching on the Sky F1 channel. If the BBC cut it all, it'll cause a lot of upset and lose valuable followers of F1 so it's not just "I'm alright, Jack" for me.
As for calling darts a sport, get real.

There were some bizarre ads on ITV something about darts making out it is a top end spectacle with explosions and arenas of people jumping up and down, spectators going nuts - darts .....

I already watch pretty much every ATP / WTA tennis tournament on -line cos' terrestrial coverage is non-existent. The 4 slams and the World Tour Final are covered poorly by the BBC. Well they only cover Wimbledon and half the World Tour Final matches?! So I expect F1 will go the same way. At this rate I will begrudge paying the TV tax!

Hamilton is a better and more consistent driver now than during his years with Button. It reads like Button is simply bigging up his current team mate.

I've never been a fan of Alonso but this year he has lost all of his remaining sparkle. Yes the car has been dire but he hasn't exactly looked as though he's been trying that hard to recover things!

No, he looks like a lost cause. Although it must be depressing to be that uncompetitive, his unprofessional behaviour of late cannot be impressing Ron Dennis.
Knowing Honda, I still believe in them getting that engine right in the end. They have a huge racing heritage and will not give up lightly.

Yes but will Alonso last that long? I get the impression he'll be off, but where to is the question, all of the top teams have locked down contracts.

I think he may retire from F1, he looks like a man who has given up.
I hope Button continues.

Agreed, that is the most likely and probably the best thing for him now… I know he is still rated by the establishment but I think this year might have diminished that somewhat!
