In a couple of interviews with the BBC this year Bernie Ecclestone has hinted that his time at the helm of F! may be drawing to a close. He has said similar things before and nothing has come of it, but after reading the story in the link below I am left wondering whether he may actually mean it this time. Let's hope so, eh? Formula 1: US-Qatari investors 'to bid for sport'If Bernie does throw in the towel I'd like to see Max Mosely take up the post (as long as he leaves his Nazi uniform in the wardrobe ) as he has proposed an interesting way to boost the competitiveness of the sport. Max Mosley wants two sets of F1 rules

Anyone is going to be better than Ecclestone, who long ago stopped caring about F1 as a sport.

Oh I don't know, Eddie Jordan would bring with him some entertainment at least. The scary thing is that Christian Horner's name has come up as a possible replacement and all he ever does is moan and grown, I think his behaviour since Red Bull have been doing less well has been discusting at times.
Moving back to the last race, it looks like Lewis was very much beaten by Nico which is a first for him, certainly in the past two years, does it mean we're going to see a more competitive Nico for the remainder of the season? At the beginning of the year it looked like Lewis was going to walk it, but maybe we're in for some interesting tussles.

Eddie Jordan is an imbecile of the highest order. Wish Ross Brawn could take the job, then we'd see F1 put first and the profits would follow, rather than it being the only focus.

Hah! I'm not often that harsh, but I had my fill of him talking bollocks years ago and can only be thankful that I watch F1 on Sky these days.

He certainly talks crap but I think I'd prefer him over Christian Horner!

You'd think Ginger would have raised a smile on him by now.

What a superb controlled drive by Hamilton, especially in the final wet phase. An inspired timely stop for intermediate tyres, too. Good to see him win at Silverstone again.
A shame that the Williams got edged out by Vettel, and a real pity that Massa didn't get 2nd for his efforts.

Unfortunately Williams pit strategy was their undoing, they need to lead more rather than follow what other teams are doing, something they excelled at back in their glory days. It was a great race though, and I have to admit my allegiance quickly switched to the Williams duo after their fabulous launch off the grid. If the team can conquer their relative lack of performance in slow speed corners they are destined to give Mercedes a very hard time. Confession time: I have a bit of a soft spot for Claire Williams

Fancying the owners daughter ay Dave, nice one Have to say though, that was a most enjoyable race and Hamilton again showing his brilliance with they inspired pit stop whilst he was being hunted down by Rosberg. Bit of an omen, each of his other championship years, he has won the British Grand Peix and then gone onto become Champion...

Do you think Mrs Wolff owns a pair of Ruby slippers? "Oh Toto, we're going home, home to Kansas..."

Sad, sad news that Jules Bianchi has died from his injuries sustained in the 2014 Japanese Grand Prix... RIP!

Yes, I've posted in other forums about this. It's very sad, but people should be reminded that F1 is still a dangerous sport. After the death of Senna, many safety improvements were introduced and now the 'virtual safety car' should ensure that another Bianchi will not happen again. It would be foolish to think, though, that F1 could be made completely safe.
