I spent a little time looking at that, and if they are available near you I'd be tempted by
Toyo Proxes TR1 165/50 R15 76 V XL.
If you have a willing tyre fitter then mail order is another option.

Whatever you do don't get the cheapest, usually the wet grip performance it totally crap.
Give us an idea of the vehicle, and also the tyre size, and you'll get a better answer.

We need a list of Peter Belt tweaks to try, now we have systems that may be capable of showing they work I seem to remember some.
Putting a sheet of paper into books.
Cutting the corner off bits of paper.
Putting a sheet of paper under one foot of a support.
One involved an aspirin (or was it a paracetamol ?).
Using nylon spiral cable tidies. My old Yamaha CD player still has a bit inside from memory.

Some of his stuff sounds reasonable now, even if it didn't work I forget his name, (edit- Jimmy Hughes ?) but there was a respected hi-fi journalist who championed the work of Peter Belt (and his wife Mary) and who eventually became a laughing stock. As far as I know Belts loony tips were never proven to have any effect except in the mind of the beholder.
Since those days I have been mostly sceptical of magic tweeks.
Whether the device that Martin is championing works, or not, is something I can't comment on, but if "the effect" could be shown to be real (like using an accurate oscilloscope) I'd give it more credence.
Using "test equipment" might enable the effects of device to be understood ?

A happy ending, my parcel was delivered a short while ago.
I never did hear from Hermes customer support.

Very annoying. I presume you've tried the on-line chat facility on the Hermes website? Oh yes, to be honest it's an utter waste of time. Oh to be able to speak to a real human being. *

I ordered an item from a company in Manchester, and they dispatched via Hermes on 4th Dec.
Since 7th Dec Hermes are telling me they have my parcel, but it is delayed due to ferry problems. Go figure.
Neither the supplier, or myself can get any sense from Hermes, and as far as their customer service goes it's non existent. In the end up, the supplier gave me a refund. So, I reordered the item from another supplier, and the delivery was entrusted to Hermes. They advised me it was out for delivery on Thursday, and then revised it to Friday (today) between 12:00 and 16:00. Guess what --- no fecking parcel, and as per usual, no way to get anyone from Hermes to sort it out. *

Will Nikita Mazepin be an asset to Haas, and F1 in general in 2021 ?
The more I read about his temperament, and relative lack of success in lesser formulas, the more I wonder.

Regarding the Lenovo smart alarm, the other day I found an Ebay seller offering them for £8.99 inc postage.
I knew in my mind it was probably a scam of some sort, but I went with it and paid by PayPal.
Later in the day I got a message from Ebay to say the sellers account had been deleted, and reminding me how to get a refund if necessary. The item was scheduled to be delivered by Tuesday 26th November so I'll wait and see what happens. You've been 'ad, squire. That is one of the positives with eBay and PayPal though; in situations like that the refund process is fairly painless. The refund process was completely painless and completed less than an hour after my request.

A bit off topic. If you like Binky type videos you might like this. I've found a UK company (Retropower) that does high quality work on restomodding cars, plus race and rally preparation. They got an enquiry from Gordon Murray CBE (famous automotive designer) to build him a road car based on a Mk1 Escort, with much modding but to retain the standard look of a twin cam version. Retropower did a series build video which is on YouTube, and I found that very interesting to watch. Took up most of yesterday. retropower.co.uk/2019/02/05/gor ... k1-escort/
