Spoke to Dave Brooks at MCRU he can supply a LDA one to suit.
Nick Gorams supplies have a great reputation might as well get a good one then its done.

John, I envy your ability to persevere...hope it works out well for you.
Chris has been very supportive to this IT phobic glaswegian over the last couple of days....almost like when the two pilots get food poisoning and the air traffic controller is trying to talk the eegit stewardess to land the 747!!!

Ali, really looking forward to your impressions with these....
I still reckon your OBs are the best sounding speakers ive ever heard....all the openness of 57s with the weight and attack of eddingdales!!!

I purchase a Innous zen mini mk2 last week- £600
amazon fire tablet-£50
Orange squeeze ap-£3.05
ethernet cable -£5
the zen is hard wired via ethernet to my router.
fire up the tablet visit the app store and purchase orange squeeze software
im awfull at computer based stuff but managed to do it in 20 minutes
i was previously using a acer lap top everything ripped to flac running foobar
my sons mac sounded better so i looked around for a dedicated server/streamer purpose made for audio
dac duties taken care of via usb to my tq claymore
the jump in sonic performance is palpable
noise floor noticeably reduced
detail resolution and soundstage is tremendous
frequency extremes have improved noticeably treble is sweeter/bass multi layered and crakatonian
probably the biggest sonic improvement i have gained from one component
well worth consideration for a one stop top notch digital front end

mmm..... a Stan PSU-no doubt at a very reasonable sum!
Might need two.
The SEG is a very real evolution from the BM then Caiman 2, both great in theyre own right but surpassed significantly by the SEG IMHO.

The caiman 2 works really well with 650s....the 600s will be fine.
Stan accepted some of my feedback with the development of his firmware upgrade chips in relation to the 650s-they were a match made in heaven.
the 600s are a tad more neutral than 650s-less bass tilted but should be great.

Ask your good lady how much they spend on a hair cut/nails/make up/perfume/underwear/shoes/handbags etc.
Factor in a 50% underestimation and you have suitable justification for treating yourself to wee system improvements.
Its our hobby and passion to enjoy music....theirs no pockets in a shroud!

I reckon the HPA section of the DAC took about 100 hours to burn in.
Well worth setting the gain to match your cans.
I found using a leatherman blade to prise the volume knob off-rotate it and prise the knob off incrementally.
I set mine wide open ie all the way round to the right for the 700s suited my ears best.
Excellent bit of kit....my son has been borrowing my 700s of late-his mate heard them on the SEG and ordered a pair!!

I dipped my toe into the fuse world a few years ago.
Borrowed one off Loud and clear in Glasgow with no obligation to buy....bought three and have used them ever since.
Sat my son and wife down to listen to the swap-they both heard the difference/improvement.
As one of the comments says if you hear the difference and ask if its worth x amount and everyone agrees,,,,,its a no brainer when you can return them if not happy IMHO.

Chris, If you come up with Colin next week to deliver the Eddingdales I can swap out my phonosphie fuses and hear for yourself if it makes any difference.

I got good results running temple mono blocks-sometime four off a big car battery. Lowered the noise floor IMHO.
Never tried a really good linear supply so cant comment.

Late eighties i was working my way through uni at safeway pushing trolleys. One of my mates aunty passed away and left hims some dough.
As you do at 19 you go out and but a art audio pre/ power..micro mega cd transport...meridian dac...big pair of ruarks....stax els cans.
Had many a night sitting in awe listening to john martyn and richard thomson.
The art audio amps were fantastic......
Many a bottle of malt was sacrificed on the music altar!!!!

Chris, Already planted the seed....theyre young ears pick up stuff my motorcycle ravaged ones dont. My son has met most of the Scottish mafia and gets on great with them.
Great seeing them get into music and the kit that produces it.

Funnily enough my son felt duty bound to try the same medical solution-utterly selfless.....thats maybe why we thought the segs were so good?
Thanks again Stan.

Just a dac and headphone amp. Im nearly sure stan mentioned you can adjust the gain on the headphone section.
He offered to set it up prior to dispatch for my 700s but my intention was to use it in my av set.
But its so bloody good I put in my main rig!!!!
