Seems to be improving with more time as I go through my Bubble playlist
Never thought there could be so much more to come especially from just improving the power supply to the router
More detail, brought forward nicely into the total
My appreciation for Jerry Goodman's violin work continues upwards

Those Sapphire DC cables are the real deal and supplement the amazing JS-2 rather well.

Thought connecting the router with the Sapphire to the JS-2 was going to be a nice little step up that had to be listened to. Not so. Clarity

Update The JS-2 is connected with a PS Audio Prelude mains cable I will try and work out how to replace this 2m cable with a 1m Coherent as I assume it will improve the sound

The circuit breaker going off.
A while back I remember when I plugged in my latest Kemp filter it kept tripping the circuit breaker Changing things around I stopped that
I think one of the items plugged into this circuit is causing the problem either on its own or working with another
So far I have plugged one of the filters back in and so far no trips. One at a time and leave for a few days

I vaguely remember my Kemp tripping the breaker. I think it filters so well that it trips the ground leakage detection in the associated breaker. I changed it to another socket and the problem never returned.

One Kemp is back in. Two more to follow then on to other filters with a day or two between each one The Kemps make the biggest difference so it has to be them first and fingers crossed

One lump or two ?
Three lumps or four ? of Black Ravioli
Cunning plan as I'm running out of Black Ravioli
JS-2 has 4 Black Ravioli in place Take one out, position appropriately
Listen, twice Sounds fantastic
4th BR back in Damn. Sounds noticeably better Cunning plan abandoned
Just remembered I tried this before. 4 always beats 3 Deeper pockets required
The single BR I have under the ER and the one under the AfterDark clock next to try adding to three

One lump or two, this time
One BR under the EtherRegen, one under the AfterDark clock Small boxes so one is a good fit. Three looks close to impossible under the ER
So try two BRs Louder, more detail, nicer, smoother sound
Two under the AfterDark ? Same again
Black Magic Ravioli

It's the damping effect, innit?

I've been applying faulty logic
How many do you have under your ER and clocks ?

Post by MartinT on Sept 8, 2024 19:16:37 GMT
Three BR Pads under each of the ER and two clocks.

Thanks Did you test just 2 ?

Post by MartinT on Sept 8, 2024 20:19:44 GMT
No. I go for three for minimum stability, four if they will fit.

System delivering more music
More weight, bass Underworld never sounded this good before
This is probably the additional Black Ravioli under the EtherRegen and the AfterDark clock
Bringing back the plug in mains filters, one every couple of days must also be helping No power off so far so still not sure what was causing the mains to go off on this circuit

Tried the latest MartinT mod, changing JS-2 supplies JS-2 no.1 now supplies Router and clock, previously only clock JS-2 no.2 only supplies EtherRegen, previously Router as well Takes a while due to turning off, on, wait, reboots. A step up in detail, width, treble and mid. Another influencer - the power cable to JS-2 no.1 comes via a Coherent mains cable and now goes on to power Router and clock while JS-2 is powered by a PS Audio Prelude then on to the EtherRegen What a complicated web we weave <later> Confirmed listening to Low - The curtain hits the cast More space between instruments, clarity, 'volume'

Low - The curtain hits the cast More space between instruments, clarity, 'volume' Yes, it works for Low, too. Wow, so much space, such powerful drum strikes and rim shots.

Trolling through my 80 odd hours of Bubble playlist and pruning out albums as some have been played many times and now losing their sparkle
Get to my collection of Jan Hammer albums and find Melodies - good but not that good - has jumped up and become a great album Seasons Part 2 is revealed to be very well made, seemingly not before
Right. Letting that sink in. More favourite albums need to be put on the end of the mere 54 hours
How different might they become ?

Lyrics have become clearer in the past few upgrades
On some tracks I now have words and am focussing more on the lyrics as they are now *there*
Good !
