Which component has shown the biggest improvement when grounded for you guys?

From (dodgy) memory I found much the same from all Bear in mind the TAD D-1000 has 7 cables connected Also I have a few plugged into the mains earth or croc clipped to the earth block

Like Mike, they all work well. Possibly, by a small margin, the best has been my DAC.

Testing time. Do Black Ravioli pads under speakers improve sound ?
Have had BR under my TAD E1 speakers for many months. Nicely settled then I thought there was an improvement when first placed. Not tested properly until today
Not an easy job, the main reason for not testing.
4 BR in place under the E1s Good sound Manipulate the E1s on Townshend speaker podiums and take out the BRs Reposition as close as possible to original toe in Much the same or a little constrained ?
Manipulate and reposition again putting the BRs back in. Even more difficult
Sound is more open and flowing. Say half a step up. Nicer sound
The E1s are 75 kilos so 3 BRs is right on the limit, for safety I use 4

My problem with attempting that experiment is manifold...

Mad Scientist Contact Enhancer Following MartinT 's and others recommendation I bought this ages ago Trying out only the mains socket end of the Coherent BD cable feeding the AM conditioner to check if noticeable in my system Yes 'Louder' more dynamic range, touch more slam, detail I'll be trying this in other places

My problem with attempting that experiment is manifold... I think you would need a new manifold afterwards Worth having for the improvement assuming you don't need a fork lift to move your speakers

I'll wait until I move house.
Sounds like I would need 8 BRs per speaker and no idea how I could achieve it.

Doable At least 2 fit punters required. 4 better Removal guys might be up to it
Another issue is where to put the BRs I have 3 pads on the base of the E1s which are the obvious places but not happy with loading the BRs with maximum Fortunately there are a couple of adjusters midway down each side so I use the front 2 pads and the 2 midway If they weren't there I'd be apprehensive supporting random areas of the base of the speaker

I know I'm doing too many tweaks at once, but, so far it is working well
System sounding fabulous
Even swapped in the potentially intermittently faulty adaptor between router and Rendu, since first thing today. Still working at 7pm. Mains off a few times too.
Last time I played Power Station - Living in Fear it was harsh and not long for the album playlist Different version of the album has now been revealed The roughness and harshness has gone

One last test today
Due to the need to manhandle the E1s around I took the door stops weights off the top and put them to one side. Forgot then remembered them
Test before I put them back on as I could do without the look of them
Good and bad news Sound improved, noticeably but they do look er, eccentric Must look around for something more sensible that will sit on the shiny curved top without falling off. Black of course.

Did you notice the sound quality difference between the two optical adapters, Mike, as when we first tried them?

Sunday update After turning all off overnight I am successfully streaming I fiddled about a lot yesterday so think the system was unhappy with the liberties I took. Hopefully the adaptor and all else are happy now Comparison between streaming and CD is puzzling. They are near identical but different. More tweaking may clarify that Sound has more detail and oomph in the midrange and bass The only change for CD playback is the SR Purple fuse and the Mad Scientist contact Enhancer, on one end of mains cable feeding the conditioner. Guess what is next

Jon Hopkins - Light through the veins from Seven Gulps of air CD is sounding better than ever
Looked up on Qobuz to see 5 versions available Very happy to check all of them out to find out if the same or different
Difficult to tweak the kit when I only want to listen to the music with all the extras being revealed. Discipline !

Difficult to tweak the kit when I only want to listen to the music with all the extras being revealed. Same here, I mostly want to leave it alone and have done since the v2.9 firmware for the Rendu. Still sounding fantastic. I agree about the different versions in Qobuz, it's an exploration.
