Space for the Papa is an incredible recording, his guitar sounds so raw and jumps from the mix. Superb.

It's me not you, or the system....
Struggling to understand why some albums in the playlist sound better than ever this run through Nothing changed except shuffling the Tivos around which are a good 6' away from the kit. Then only a shelf down on the Mana rack. Can't think that is a valid reason for a sound improvement.
First thing today I played Rick Springfield then Joan as Policewoman. Both sound very good, more music being delivered than I can remember with more subtleties, bass and detail. Musically time for them to move on and be filed I wondered
Onto Chameleons - What does anything mean basically ? then Keef Hartley Halfbreed both albums I have played 100s of times, I was in a state of bliss. These will not be moving on
Must be me then

Listening to the playlist and hearing more than before. No changes to the system or the room...... This is not my imagination
After reading Paul McGowan's post about burn in I assume the TADs or the cables or the RTZ have burned in or settled.
Makes listening an even greater pleasure
Would have been cycling but rain stopped play, as well as new chain and back block being fitted !

Like you, Mike, I'm still hearing improvements after John and I reconfigured my grounding box arrangement. There seems to be more leading edge detail and overall slam while the soundstage has deepened somewhat. It has gradually improved over the week.
It makes me want to leave the system well alone, which is a good thing.

Mike You are in bed. It is the middle of the night and you hear a faint tapping on the window and a voice, whispering, "Invite me in!" You recognise the fiendish features of the creature, hovering outside your bedroom window! It is Count Anthony, come to suck your wallet dry!

Joking aside the man himself is due back in the not so distant future with his own unique Pre Amp Sounded good when I heard it. Be surprised if the newest version doesn't sound better - but how much better for the wallet justification process ?

Tony has a range of gear that ranges from relatively affordable all the way up to the stratosphere price wise, but you get what you pay for. Also I’ve never felt an ounce of pressure from him with his demos etc; he came to my place in 2012, I never spent a penny with him for five years, but throughout that time he entertained all of my questions etc - he’s a top guy to deal with so IDK why he’s being named as someone to ‘drain a wallet’ - I’ve dealt with far worse people in this hobby.

Fair enough; I didn’t know that and if that’s the case I apologise.

SteveC and I are both very happy customers of Tony. Wish I'd known about him years ago. Would have saved me a fortune and much faffing about. The system I have now has nearly all been bought from Tony. All of the commonly used kit and cables is Tony sourced. The sound from this system is beyond my wildest dreams at significantly less money than I would have expected to pay. I've heard a £250,000 system and it was nowhere what I had before. The current system is a small fraction of that and out performs it massively VFM is plain silly. Customer service is miles above any other dealer I have ever dealt with. Knowledge of how to wring the last drop of sound quality with the TAD gear, his own design Coherent cables, RTZ grounding box and Creaktiv racks amazes me - But don't tell him, he'll get ideas beyond his station

I have called Tony the House MD of audio in the past. He can diagnose systems with a quick listen to one or two tracks and then make fixes, not always costing money. He has a phenomenal ability, better than any other dealer I have come across.

Relax my friend! Tony picked my pockets to the tune of £20K last year and we are still doing business together! It's an "in-joke" amongst Tony's very satisfied customers here!

I should have fact checked before speaking; what can I say, I had a bad day yesterday.
I know now you’re not part of it, I’m just sick of people judging what others choose to spend their money on and ‘protecting the innocent’ on these audio forums.
Anyway, I’ve apologised and understand the situation; back to ‘more music’!

Anyway, I’ve apologised and understand the situation; back to ‘more music’! All good. Always amazed me that Tony's recommendations to start with were *less* money than the kit I had but sounded better. Letting us have the kit on extended demo usually reinforces the improvement in sound quality making it a no brainer
