Noises Off was playing on stage in London for a goodly length of time. Interesting. Thanks. I'll start checking if it's ever available in my area on stage. I found hysterical. Would love to catch it live.

Judge for yourself, Mike. The script is pretty naff, but the action sequences are good fun and Milla Jovovich is always worth a watch... There are no vampires in the traditional sense.

Ok. I'll give it a go. My name is Mike, Ultra Mike Some of the females I've seen practising Aikido are that good. One looked like a little girl off the mat, American, about 4' tall. No clue as to what she was capable of She threw my English Aikido teacher, big, around 6'2" all over the place

I always sort of lump these two films together, Ultraviolet, and Aeon Flux. They're not really that much alike, but they seem to go together well. Aeon Flux edges it for the cast: Charlize Theron, Jonny Lee Miller, Sophie Okonedo, Frances McDormand, Pete Postlethwaite...
Again, loads of fun if you don't try to take it seriously and you're able to put your brain in "Park" and just be entertained by it.

Have to say I really enjoyed seeing Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker this week. Maybe not the best Star Wars film, but a long way from being the worst and a fitting conclusion to the saga. 1977 to 2019, never thought I'd still be seeing Luke Skywalker on the screen 42 years later!
I had a great night watching episodes 7, 8 and then 9 at midnight on Wednesday - 18:00 to about 02:20 in the morning, now that's a film marathon They showed it right through the night in Cardiff and the cinema was still packed when I went home at 02:30!
There seems to be more than the usual number of haters out there for this film, but Star Wars fanbois are an odd bunch. Giving the film a score of 1/10 is a bit crass as very few films are actually that bad, I guess if you never see any other films but Star Wars you could be that trite, but I've seen a lot worse films this year. The cinematography and locations are outstanding, with very strong performances from Adam Driver and Daisy Ridley. Some great new characters and a good measure of humour make for an entertaining couple of hours, even if you only have a passing interest in the Star Wars universe. I generally find them much more enjoyable than Marvel films.
I've seen it twice now and may go again after the holidays, but I'm closing the curtains, locking the door and turning off the lights until all the impending doom is over for another year
