Here it is.
The Tencent version of Operation Guzheng. The slicing of the ship.
From 16:50 until about 35:00.
Not sure how any 3BP version could beat this.

Oh yes, I believe that scene to be in the Netflix version, too.

The Tencent version is done very well. We'll see what Netflix does with it.
I expect Benioff will have nailed it.

I expect Benioff will have nailed it. From the ship slicing onwards, it jumps into another gear. I remember this sense of awe from the first book. Really nailed it! rfan8312 have you started watching it yet?

No I haven't. Is it good enough to begin? If so I could get Netflix tonight.
Martin were you referring to the Netflix version there when you mentioned the ship slicing scene?

Martin were you referring to the Netflix version there when you mentioned the ship slicing scene? Yes indeed. I find it very interesting that the Netflix version received Cixin Liu's full approval despite changes to characters and locations. He seemed to give Benioff free reign to adjust it to suit. I haven't had any trouble adapting and I rather like Auggie (Wang) in this script (or perhaps I'm just mesmerised by Eiza González). Go for it Robert, it's very well done.

We found it more gripping from Episode 3 on and finished last two tonight. Looking forward to the second series.

Wow if I wait until tomorrow I'd have a chance to watch it in a larger screen by hooking the phone up to the flat-screen at home using Samsung DEX. I'll give that a shot and watch it after work tomorrow.

Good move. You need a larger screen for this.

"The Signal" - Great SciFi mini series on Netflix!

"The Signal" - Great SciFi mini series on Netflix! Was drawn to "The Signal" at first but found that the poor acting, plot holes and tedious story line became tiresome. Then the anticlimax ending left me feeling betrayed by time wasted. "Three Body Problem" on the other hand is the antithesis of "The Signal" in every way, particularly when viewed on a 108 inch screen in 4K HDR through and Epson 6040UB projector.

Ye it was cool the way it first appeared too.
Those 'struggle trials' at the beginning were exactly as I'd pictured them.
The conversation towards the end about what frequence modulation would ACTUALLY be necessary for was chilling in how it played out.
Do you remember the "computer" they witnessed inside of the game? that blew my mind.

Cold Courage - Prime Looked interesting so we gave it a go Two Finish females bump into each other and off we go. John Simm is a conniving politician Has clever parts, but leaves us baffled at times - the Finnish influence ? Violence to women is off the scale so beware Had its moments but my recommendation is do not bother Came to the last episode and we thought there will be sorting and we will see results Nope Much just left hanging If there is a series 2 we won't be watching
