Limetown. I'm two episodes in, and it's suitably odd, weird, and veering towards the creepy.

Daisy Jones and the SixThis seems good, drama with a musical twist. Loosely based on Fleetwood Mac, their lives and relationships. On Prime. We like it. Don't look too closely and it's fine. Hippy chicks, the cars, the weed, Justified bloke, what's not to like

Finished The Night Agent. It got a bit more interesting and was efficient enough but not something to linger in the memory by any means. It's routine spy thriller fare. They set it up neatly for another series.

Dark is complexity done well to the nth degree.
It's a lesson to all other series.

Series 2 of Marcella is a total mindf*ck. It's not often I watch something so disturbing that I can only stand one episode per evening.
Anna Friel's performance is stupendous.

I've just watched the first 30-minute episode of Mel Brooks's "The History Of The World, Part 2." It's a bit hit and miss, but overall more funny than not. It's on Hulu.

Succession remains top entertainment. I've just been watching S3 E8 and sat back thinking these characters are all utterly odious. I don't think I've seen anything since The Lion in Winter where every single character is so repulsive. It makes for compelling viewing, although I don't really know why. Succession S4 continues the interpersonal carnage among family members who own a media empire. Compelling entertainment with horrible characters. Final series.

I've watched the first three episodes of "The Power," now, and I shall probably watch until the end. I've finally worked out what was bugging me about it though, and that's the fact that so far I haven't found a single character I could bring myself to care about. Watching it is (so far; who knows, it may pick up) more of a technical exarcise than a pleasure.
I may also become pissed off with the "science" behind the main premise of the story.

We've given up on a few where none of the characters are worth bothering about But sometimes you get a series like Succession, where everyone is deliciously awful, which makes for stunned "you've got to be kidding" moments.

But sometimes you get a series like Succession, where everyone is deliciously awful, which makes for stunned "you've got to be kidding" moments. I can get behind nasty characters, and even cheer them on on occasion, but these are just people of the type you'd avoid at a party, or in the pub. A couple of them may be redeemed. The Mayor (Toni Collette) could go either way, as could her husband, but most of the girls themselves seem beyond salvage. And as for the Mockney Monke family, with the obnoxious Eddie Marsan playing a Pound Shop Bob Hoskins, no chance.

I've just watched, and enjoyed, the first episode of a South Korean Netflix series, " The Silent Sea". Quite tense, and I xan almost guarantee you'll end up holding your breath during one part. Dubbed, and subtitled for the hard of concentrating.
