Not a movie but a couple of series i would recommend, the first is Hunters on Prime, set in the seventies it's the story of an 18 / 19 year old jewish lad who's grandmother is murdered, this leads him down a path of revenge where he finds out his grandmother and her group of friends are nazi hunters, it's a good watch Al Pacino plays a good part. ... I enjoyed Hunters. I'm glad to hear that at last I'm not the only one here who did.

This is going on my "to watch" list. It is either going to be brilliant, or, possibly, the worst thing I have ever watched. 6 episodes await my viewing pleasure. Reception at the time of release was "mixed," I think we can safely say, but better than I expected it to be. I've just started watching and it's already provided the best ever line in a detective series. Scenario: Detective called by old lady because she's found her neighbor's door open " Don't worry ma'am, I'm sure it's just someone's misguided attempt to redistribute their wealth." One of the leads has a definite air of Borat about him. He's from the country, so instantly earns the sobriquet " goat fucker." " I know this is hard, because crime is not a part of our national makeup," says the boss, after one of the detectives is killed. It's OK though, the killer was wearing a Ronald Reagan mask. The American ambassador is... well... She's AMERICAN, blonde, and sexy. " Y'all don't come back y'hear?" she tells them as she throws them out. Oh, the swearing is industrial, and the dubbing is deliberately awful. I'm hooked.

Heads up for those of us of a certain age growing up watching the origional Gerry Anderson 'Captain Scarlet' the 2005 CGi remake series is currently showing on Amazon Prime. Whilst CGi has come a long way in 15 years it's still quite watchable fare.

Used to love that show!
I remember the Dinky toys that went with it. And I made an Airfix kit of an 'Angel Interceptor' ...
Amazing how the theme tune just instantly transports you back in time.

Another Swedish noir you'll be lucky to see.. Midnight sun or Midnattssol in Swedish In Swedish with a bit of French too. Set in the far north. I am thoroughly enjoying this on NowTV. Leïla Bekhti plays the French detective rather well.

"You want coffee?"
"Black please. No cheese"
That tickled me.

Started series 2 of Hanna.
Very good, but without the tension of the first so far, so hope it develops.
Fantastic photography - the details in the forest look absolutely stunning in humble 1080p HD.

Has anybody got around to watching DARK on Netflix , the first two seasons were infectious with the time travelling now the third and final season has upped the anti in blowing ones mind . I have had to look this up but it now involves one , two or all three of : Predestination Paradox , Bootstrap Paradox and Grandfather Paradox . The amount of times I have had to reprise the previous episode before starting the next , talk about losing the plot

I haven't tried it yet but you have spurred me on! It's definitely my number 3 behind GOT and The Wire , I read a few people saying that it's the best they have seen , it's in German but I started it dubbed so have carried on , I'm going to watch it again with subtitles .

Has anybody got around to watching DARK on Netflix I tried it but gave up, dragged a bit never making significant headway with each episode. I'm pretty much a film guy though, but I did really like feel of it, it's very well made with great cinematography and colour palette and the story is interesting, but the investment in time is too great as I like to watch at least one film a day.

The end of the 3rd season of Halt and Catch Fire has become very dark.
Still enjoying playing "I remember" to all the bits of computer kit shown. Still love the interplay between Cameron and Donna, although they're not talking much at the moment.

The story line ain't short that's for sure , it needs Time And therein lies my problem with long form TV - it takes forever to unravel. I prefer tight concise storytelling, with a start, beginning and end that doesn't take days or weeks to reach. Shame really, as it does look good. It's my 'can't commit to anything long term' personality I guess. Also not having a TV probably, as when I fire up my projector I want to feel like I'm at the movies, which I don't get from a TV drama. Ho hum, such is life

I fire up all sorts for the boss Find classics. Too often we watch something that has very little going for it.
I usually remember to say This is not for me and half the time she agrees and we move on
I'd rather listen to music !
