We're half way through the first series of "The Following" with Kevin Bacon and enjoying it thoroughly. Series 3 of Grimm has been watched, and now we have to wait until October 19 th for series 4 to be released on DVD. Just begun watching The Following and already hooked. Of special interest to me as the lead Kevin Bacon character has Cardiomyopathy, the same condition I've been diagnosed with and a Pacemaker! Yup, my missus has the same three wire kick-starter (she has T.O.F.) and spotted Kev's pacemaker "pouch" the second she saw him in the shower at the beginning.

Yep that was what gave it away to me, although it is slightly more prominent on him than on me.

Just watched the 2nd series of Uncle.
Very rare I have to to stop play as I'm laughing so much
Try and get series 1 and 2. Put up with some of it's foibles and have a real laugh

"it's always better in Philidelphia" on Netflix.
Started off as the "Anti-Friends" but found its own feet after a few episodes. Genuinely funny and not afraid to be non PC.
Give it the 3 episode test.

I finished watching Bosch a old school police drama based in the states and available via Netflix, definitely worth a watch

Loved season one of Homeland - can't wait to get stared on season two. Been catching up on new Mad Men, bit disappointing so far.

It takes a lot to get me interested in what's on the TV (never had any paid for TV service) but we watched Breaking Bad every day last week and enjoyed it immensely.

I just couldn't stick Breaking Bad. The Blacklist, however, is compelling...

Agreed Blacklist, whilst a little predictable it has an interesting underlying something that makes me want to watch it more and more.

Would be really good to know the channel for all
"Freeview" will do fine too
Is Blacklist a Sky or other paid for ?

Many of the good dramas are on Sky Atlantic or Sky Living.

We have too much to watch already, no exaggeration
The boss keeps going on about Sky and how wonderful it will be.
We both have almost full Tivos with quite big HDs so how many hours a day will we have to watch TV if we get Sky or paid for other - I say

The more you have on offer, the more selective you get. I only watch recordings and I only record certain series. That's it. The advantage of the Sky HD box is that it records the original stream so, unlike Tivo, you get no generation loss. I love high quality HD pictures, don't watch anything SD unless it's old material.

We are enjoying the Vikings. On the third season... Marie like it as it reminds her of her ancestry:) They even do the once every nine years pilgrimage to Uppsala!
The accents are amusing. Aus and UK actors do a passable broken Scandi. The actor playing Floki is from Sweden. The actress playing Lagertha (farmer, mother, housewife, shieldmaiden warrior and Earl is aged 48!
Even made me look up the Christianisation of the Scandi world. Started off with some contact - mostly lethal for the Christians:), then built as the two were thrown more together, in earnest by 900's onwards... Usually politically driven. The Samis / Lapp tribes were last, as late as the 18th Century!
We have the seige of 'Paris' to come soon!

So who's watching Game of Thrones, then? Last night's ep.1 was just as superb as ever. Nothing is certain, no character is safe. Its richness means that you don't want to see great characters killed off (apart from Joffrey), yet you know it's going to happen. The best, BEST, series ever made for TV bar none. Great show, S5 is as good as it ever was. Best ever...hmnn. Big Breaking Bad fan, really enjoyed BSG and loved the West Wing. Nothings came close though IMO to the Wire. Far more rich, socially relevant, better written and smarter than anything else I've seen, TV or Movie. If you've not seen it your missing out.

We've finally started watching Breaking Bad, courtesy of New channel Spike on Freesat. Quite entertaining but I think the edge has probably been taken off of it for me after all of the hype surrounding it. No Offence started last night, on C4. It's written by Paul Abbott who also wrote Shameless and has gone on our "must watch" list immediately. We both love black humour, and this has it in abundance. The scene in the mortuary was a minor classic. I'll say no more to avoid spoilers.

You forgot to mention "hornbag". She was born in 1977 so she's only 38.
