All machines now on 2004, all have superfetch disabled, all working fine for now.
No action needed by Lenovo Vantage.

RAM is the biggest constraint to performance on laptops. Bring them up from 4GB to 8GB or more and they will fly.

I'm still waiting for 2004, the version that is, not the year.

We had a target for these two weeks of half term to re-image 481 computers with W10 Education x64 with Office 365 and various other applications for our new network domain. We allocated four of us to do the work. We will have finished by tomorrow, in half the time. So far more than 400 have imaged perfectly, login ok etc. All sorts of different models.
I don't know how we could have done it without Microsoft Deployment Tool.

Yes, on the enterprise side, their products are very good indeed.

I've got 3 of my computers on version 20H2 now, is that the precursor to a new generation Windows ?

I believe it's (just) the first major update for version 2004.

Ruth's computer is on 20H2 whereas my home machine and Surface Pro are both on 2004. At least Microsoft are doing checks now before allowing an update that will likely fail. Paul - take note!
By the way, Philip, Microsoft have said that Windows 10 will be the last 'version' although the number of updates it has received means that the current release bears little resemblance to the original. Continuous improvement is fine by me!

I'm still back on v 1909 and I'm buggered if I can figure out which driver(s) might be the problem. If Windoze is smart enough to note that I've got an outdated driver the least it could do is, as it's identified it, name it.

I'm showing as having downloaded and installed that update, Martin, but I currently can't find any way of uninstalling it. There appears to be another update which "fixes" that one, and I can't find that and after downloading a copy DISM is currently kicking my arse. I think I need to make dinner.

I think you can uninstall KBs in Control Panel / Programs. I'm at my Android tablet at the moment but I seem to remember there is a control on the left to view all updates. You can then sort and search them.
EDIT sorry, you've probably done that but if you can research the 'fixing' KB and remove both, you might be able to make progress.

Just updated my main home machine and work Surface to 20H2. It was remarkably quick to install.

This made me laugh: 20H2 has now eliminated the System section of the Control Panel. When you click on it, it takes you to Settings | System | About.
But, what if you need Advanced System Settings? Oh, there it is as a link on the right.
Guess where clicking it takes you?

Oh, there it is as a link on the right. Guess where clicking it takes you? And THAT'S one of my major dislikes of Micro$haft. They take nannying and hand-holding to the n th bloody degree. By all means lock "dangerous" features behind some sort of firewall, but please, make them accessible. I bought them, I want to be able to use them, and I want them reasonably easily to find. As long as they're tucked away behind a warning that informs the user that "Here Be Dragons," made so that they can't be switched on by accident, and have a label that says if the user unlocks them and then buggers their machine up they will get no support. That should be more than enough to my mind. Some of us know (roughly) what we're doing.
