She's in a grey area for gender If I was the IOC I'd vote for her to be excluded Too far away from a typical female
I'd also drop boxing as awful

Cycling road race was wonderful Worth the channel chasing
Won by one of the aliens
Drama near the end Recommend you watch the iplayer few minutes at least
Think I'll watch 'my' sport now, the athletics

Michael Johnson is superb for the BBC Athletics coverage, as is Denise Lewis. Great stuff.

I couldn't agree more, Jules. I've been glued to the Judo. France (and the colloosus that is Teddy Riner) has just beaten Japan in the Men's Judo - Mixed Team Final. It was Riner's final bout before retirement and he not only won his match, but then went in again, all 6ft 8in and 23st of him, as the result was standing at 3 - 3 after the matches were all completed. He took the team to what is his second Gold of the games, and his 4th Olympic Gold medal of his career. It was absolutely gripping. Now I can make dinner, which I think may well be a cold roast beef sandwich.

Watched a bit of Judo first thing, checking Red Button worked on my spare Freeview box Much prefer the smoothness and liquidity of Aikido - which I used to practice

We was robbed! The Women's Skeet - and our Amvber Rutter has just been robbed of a " hit" in the shoot-off, which means that Francisca Crovetto Chadid from Chile is awarded the gold medal. BOOOOOOOOOOO!

3/4 time in the women's hockey, and we're 2 - 1 down. Come on girls.
There's been some good stuff from GB & NI in the velodrome too, including a world record, which I'm sure Mike will be celebrating

The first Olympics I remember was 1964. Might have been the first one I could see on TV
4 Gold medals in total for GB and that sounded good to me Ha !
Our next door neighbour John competed in the fencing. A hifi nutter BTW. My problems might be down to him
Not bad for a funny little country in the north Atlantic

I certainly remember the "Good Morning Tokyo" music, with that 5-note leitmotif. I'd have been 10-yeas of age.

I'm now wondering if I may have seen bits of the previous in Rome
Yes, I remember Abebe Bikila, Ethiopian, who ran barefoot and set a new world record Very little else though

Who knew climbing up walls could be so exciting? The skateboarding was entertaining too, and provided a Bronze for GB & NI. [EDIT] Sky Brown, our skateboard medallist is 16. It's her second Olympics. She was the oldest person on the podium.

The men's 1500 was excellent
The little American guy sneaked in, only because the two favourites were focussed on each other Common sense says don't try and run through on the inside, but in this case the door was left wide open

Noah Lyles ran today with COVID. Apparently he didn't want other athletes to know he had it. No shit.
