Who watched Tom Pidcock win the mountain biking today? What a legend! Incredible stamina and determination to come back after the puncture and make that daring move on the last lap.

I missed Pidcock. I did read about it though, he had a flat tyre, they f*cked up changing the tyre, and he still made up loads of time on the guy that was leading, who, apparently ran out of steam. Great medal.
All I saw today was the GB Men's hockey, which was nail-bitinng, a bit of the boxing (we were robbed in the super-heavy division) and women's rugby 7s QF, in which America looked awesome when they beat us, and Canada shocked everyone by beating France.

Pidcock is a legend in his own lifetime
I watched the race. Bad coverage, appalling commentary
He's in the road race at the weekend. Talk about multi faceted

I watched the Pidcock - fantastic win.
You're right, though, Mike. Terrible coverage.

I'm going to stop watching the hockey before it wrecks my heart. This was the second game in a row they've been 2 - 1 down with less than 2 minutes to play and they've saved the game with a draw in the last few seconds. This time it was against The Netherlands, the #1 seeds. It should see us through to the Quarter Finals. Our girls started off with two straight losses, and unless there's a miraculous turnaround we're already dead in the water, pretty much.

WOW! Canada, after beating the French in their home olympics have just beaten Australia, the tournament favourites, 21 - 12. The biggest shock in world 7s rugby this year, and probably any other year too.
In the other semi, where I thought USA might cause a surprise, they had done to them what they did to us, by NZ. They were steamrollered. So, Canada v NZ in the final tonight.

I watched our brilliant gold from Nathan Hales in the trap shooting - a new OR score of 48/50.

I watched our brilliant gold from Nathan Hales in the trap shooting - a new OR score of 48/50. I watched part of it. GB has had a good track record in trap shooting.
I watched the two semi-final games of the women's rugby, only to then fall asleep and missing the finals.

Epic performance from the GB boys for the 200m freestyle relay gold - amazing we can compete so well against the bigger nations there.
Andy Murray and Dan Evans managed to grind out another win, and going berserk after winning was great TV.

The Bronze Medal match was brilliant, Stan. I'd say it was worth watching the replay even if you know the result, then try to imagine what it was like watching it live.

I'm busy watching all the tennis I can. Will watch track and field when it starts, and the tennis has finished.
I'm in the anyone but Djokovic tennis club🙂
All Olympics you can watch on Disco+ via Amazon. Slow interface but it works. Seems like they have every single event, match etc in full, live or by Replay. You might have to search for some by name as the Replay list gets too long lol, but for example all the tennis / badminton etc matches are there - seemingly ever other thing too. £3.99 for the month.

I think I'm going to get some tuition in clay shooting - really enjoyed it when I tried it previously.

Anyone who can find out when and what BBC channel the men's cycling road race is on I'd be most grateful to know Assume it will be around 5 hours so guess Red Button but this Olympics different from previous so it could be as awful as the mountain biking, shortened and horribly mutilated so you have no idea what is going on and an inane commentator Chris Boardman please step forward

Alex Yee- yes!!
14 seconds down on the last lap of the triathlon - how on earth did he claw that back to win having looked spent not long earlier?
And the British women's quad rowers winning their gold by just 0.1 secs and one stroke, having trailed throughout the race. Incredible.
