I think we will need extra stands and cables. I don't mind someone else bringing speakers for the main room. Also think bigger speakers would work better.

I can bring the Gales again but felt that others should get a look-in.

Should I bring my Ultrarendu / Gustard? The Ultrarendu is still a bit flaky, locking up occasionally - nothing a reboot doesn't fix! I use coax SPdif in - so last century😂

Should I bring my Ultrarendu / Gustard? It's up to you, Steve. We're happy to have lots of gear as you never know who would like to hear what.

If you're thinking of attending, please just add your name to the spreadsheet above so that we have an idea of numbers.
We would love to see you there!

I decided not to take the Goldnote A3 as I think SpeedySteve new horn build should have pride of place.

Well i'm just over 3 weeks in with the total knee replacement and told I am doing very well. However, despite the fact that I can use the clutch pedal with no problems it is reccomended that you don't drive for 6 weeks. My wife would drill holes in my other knee if I happened to have an accident even if it wasn't my fault so sadly I will not be attending the ASBO. Hope it all goes well. Rob.

Very likely your car insurance would be open to question….. It’s a pain as you’ll only be a week short of the 6 weeks. Does anyone pass close to you who could give you a lift? Where do you live? Congrats on your recovery!

Thanks for the kind replies chaps. I have had to be autonomous since I was young due to home circumestances and I have my own quirks as well as the limitation of this knee op. I would not want to burden anyone else with collecting and returning me. Last time I was there Yello's Toy was de rigeur and a great album to show off a system Has anyone warmed to Boris Blank's latest Resonance album? For me there are only a couple of stand out tracks but they would rattle the floorboards.

It's my son's 5th birthday on the 23rd, so just waiting to hear whether we'll do his party on the Saturday or the Sunday. If it's the Sunday then I'll be able to make it, and could bring a USB streamer along

We Regret to Annouce That The ASBO 2024 Has Been CANCELLED in its Planned FormThis is due to the combination of a clash with the WAM show and lower than expected interest in attending. However, all is not lost. speedysteve has graciously agreed to bring his self-built Danley horn speakers to Victory Hall and we will bring some supporting kit to get it all up and running. Therefore, we will be focussed on just this system and no longer inviting attendees to bring their own equipment. Neither will we be using the smaller room. So, if you fancy the trip to witness a possibly once-in-a-lifetime full-blown Danley setup used for hi-fi in a large space, feel free to make your way to Victory Hall and you will be most welcomed. We look forward to seeing a few of you there.

That is a shame. Sadly I will still not be able to attend as I cannot get back to the UK until early October. I would love to hear the Danely setup in action.
