One for Tim... l have noticed a few references to the Linux OS called GentooPlayer, just wondering if you have ever had experience of it. Glanced at it, dosent look like a beginner thing, but l noticed it can be use in conjunction with Jriver. gentooplayers.com/ |

Aware of it, but have no experience. Looked into it and read a thread on the Computer Audiophile forum, but that was sometime ago . . . . before I signed up for Roon so must have been about 3 years ago. After reading that I didn't go any further, but things might be different now.
The Linux distro Gentoo is not for newbies, but I would assume a pure audio player would be a lot more user friendly.
