Madness! What is the world coming to?? I'd opt for streaming quality first myself and nags a country mile behind ... I do hope you have had a bit of fun this Xmas and haven't been too busy with building audio esoterica old chap! Hello Joolz, yes both Anne & myself have had an enjoyable and much need break, batteries have been recharged and virtual zero alcohol been consumed, what about yourselves?
Too much eating and drinking, driving up and down the country to see friends and family, but it's been good fun ...

I've got an iFi PSU bought to try with router, must get on with it ... I found the zero zero a big step up from the iFi power x I was using. The iFi did make a difference though.

Mine is the most basic iFi PSU - just bought on a whim to see what it does. No great expectations with it.

iFi seems to make some iffy stuff I'm on the fence with ifi, I've got 3 PSUs, and zero issues. On the other hand,l had switch off issues with the Zen Stream that lead me to return the unit for a refund. I don't think it's been plain sailing for John as well.

You may be surprised,l always found an improvement, l not saying it will blow u away, but the black units have always raised the performance of any device l've used,DAC,CLOCK and SSD drives Finger crossed for you.

Thanks - must admit right now I'm much more excited about the potential of the LB clock with the U18 ... not sure anyone has tried the pairing yet.

Not sure of the voltage your ifi is,but the LB responded really well when powered with basic ifi,so there's always another use for it,if it doesn't work out on the router.

That's good to know - it can take anything from 5-12v I read, is that correct?

Yes it can Jules. I tried 5V ifi (original version) vs a 5V Supercap PS, I couldn’t hear a difference. I have a 7.5V Meanwell which is supposed to be good. I’ll try this later today. I’m suspecting the LB has a well implemented internal regulator.

Thanks Clive, I think I would most likely use a 5v powerbank to cut down on more cabling etc but good to have an option ...

Yep, cables are a real pain. With a streamer, two fibre optic / Ethernet converters and then the clock that’s four flippin” power supplies…. My choice of PS is driven by least lead clutter, where there’s no sonic difference.

You're wasting your time with all those shiny boxes young man, all you need is an LP12 / Nait 1 + Kans!

Mine's been on constantly for a while now Assuming it beds itself in... Will test quality next year - quite soon ! 'ere you go Router connected to original SMPS Pretty good sound Slight pause as moved over to the LPS and up we come Oh yes, that is good, bigger difference than before. Due to the box and cable bedding in I would think More detail, 'louder', more bass Forgot about the picture ! More music Nice Test subject

Thinking of getting the Zero Zone 01-A for my BT hub (12v),will the 01-A come with a lead with correct end to fit on the BT hub? Cheers
