Great work D! It doesn't fit in my programme but I was advised by my yoga teacher today that it's best for weight loss to eat a bigger lunch then have a light meal early evening then nothing else - this means you can have roughly 12-14 hours fasting until a healthy breakfast which is brilliant for maintaining or losing weight. It's another option to consider. Thanks Jules for the encouragement. The reality for myself,l get up at 6.30am and l'm driving by 7am, so l don't have any time. The other bad trigger point is eating breakfast, as it brings food cravings, and l have ate my dinner by 11am,l personally find it easier to just extend the fasting to 17 to 18 hours. Of course this is down to my work life, and l guess you work a system that works for yourself. Fingers crossed l will report another drop in weight next Tuesday

I think this is the key It's about making it fit around your own routines

My annual progress photo, at the TCU Gym this morning. I'm not my strongest, but feel pretty fit for this 67 year old body!

That's pretty cool. Some guys can actually pull off the long hair look. And a compliment about it never hurts.

I have lost my belly fat. I been thinking what should I do. My usual thing is to relax with the diet. However, what happens is over time I start to eat more carbs and the weight starts to come back. I find it hard to start in the first few weeks and just don't want to repeat the pattern of losing and then putting it all back on So I have decided to just stick with my diet as not finding it hard and I allow myself to treat myself a couple of times a week (instead of every day). At some point I will start to settle at a weight.

That's effectively what I do John but save my treats for weekend. I still avoid pasta, bread, white rice, potatoes etc This is the only way I have found to avoid the weight gain after fasting.

Permanent change is the thing guys
My weight seems stuck around 11 stone 6 no matter what exercise I take. More or less the same food every day which I love

1000% agreed Mike. For about 3 out 4 years now of steady exercise, lifting light weights and really running, I've realized that this has to be forever now.
I've failed 1000 times but its ok as long as I never quit and I haven't in 4 years.
Food has been tougher to figure out. Though I recently had a break through. After fasting by doctors orders for the 3rd or 4th time in last few years I've realized that I like fasting.
Somehow Im more alert the next day and it feels good to know if I ignore hunger signals long enough they sort of become background noise. I'd like to now begin the journey of controlled fasting.

Just had four lovely days in Germany. Due to indulging in some local Saxon cuisine and cakes I was worried I would be putting on the pounds but was walking around 10km every day, so have actually lost a tiny bit of weight!

I have just started my usual spring diet. Thankfully I did not put on too much weight this winter. I have a week or more of food cravings to ride through, whilst my body gets used to the adjustment of just one meal a day.
